Chapter 2 - Planning to reclaim something rightfully mine.

Naruto observed his surroundings, and it was far from clean. It stank, and the mattress hadn't been washed in ages. Dust lay everywhere, and the building itself was in very poor condition. There was seepage all around, with fungi and algae especially prominent in the bathroom. The water from the shower was dirty, and the building suffered from extensive dampness.

Poor Naruto had been kicked out of the orphanage at a very young age, but at least those three elders were considerate enough to provide him with a house. It was still better than nothing, even if it was a dilapidated shelter. He had just a single pair of clothes, of course, which smelled terrible since there was no one to wash them.

The fridge contained only expired milk, and Naruto often survived on rotten, expired food that held no nutritional value. Thankfully, he could grow up and remain healthy due to his Uzumaki genes; otherwise, he would have been a very skinny, weak boy.

The main reason for his plight was his low monthly allowance. Other orphans received much more money than Naruto. The reason for this bias was certainly not because of Jiji, who still found a way to secretly send more cash to Naruto, whom he truly treated like a grandson. Jiji felt dreadful for him, often staring at a portrait of the Fourth Hokage and asking for forgiveness for failing to fulfil the dying wishes of Naruto's parents. He blamed himself for all of Naruto's struggles, often watching over him through his crystal ball and cursing his own shortcomings.

Naruto would likely have starved to death if not for Teuchi and his daughter. Most shopkeepers abused Naruto, calling him "demon brat" and kicking him out of their shops, except for Teuchi. Teuchi always smiled at Naruto and provided him with free ramen, showing him love and affection. Perhaps Teuchi recognized that Naruto was not Kurama, but a Jinchuriki.

Unfortunately, the villagers, even genins, and more than 75% of the chunins were unaware of what a Jinchuriki was. They couldn't be blamed for their lack of knowledge; it was Danzo who exploited this ignorance to inflict pain upon Naruto, attempting to drag him into darkness and make him abandon light and goodness.

Maybe Teuchi was indeed hiding a Rinnegan behind his closed eyes, or perhaps he had access to a special ramen sage mode that allowed him to perceive such things. However, that didn't matter much to Naruto. He was very grateful to the old man and his daughter and felt indebted to them for a lifetime. He is planning to repay his daughter in the future with his Uzamaki exclusive, extra-long tool.

Naruto, of course, would no longer live in that house. From the anime, he remembered Minato's wooden house in the woods, which was much better than his current dwelling. If anyone asked him how he found the house, he would say that he discovered it while playing in the woods.

Jiji wouldn't have a problem with this, as it was Naruto's property to begin with. But he wouldn't comment on the actions of the other three. Jiji had protected the house from Danzo's grasp; otherwise, he might have blown it away to uncover some of Minato's techniques.

Now it was time for Naruto to reclaim what was rightfully his.
