In Jenkins' office.
V was discussing the follow-up plan for the serum with Jenkins.
Just then, V received a call from Jack.
"Hold on, I have a call." V interrupted the conversation and gestured to Jenkins.
Jenkins nodded, indicating it was fine.
"Hey, Jack, I'm busy. Is there anything important?"
"V, there's something I need to ask you. L was taken by Arasaka people in Nihonmachi. He was forced into a car, and I want to know where he was taken.
I know this might not be easy to handle. If it's too difficult for you, just forget about it."
Listening to Jack's account, V's brows gradually furrowed.
"L was taken? Alright, I'll look into it, but Jack, let me say this first, it might not work out."
"Okay, I'll wait for your news."
The call between the two was simple. Seeing that V was busy, Jack didn't say much, the main point was conveyed.
After hanging up, V fell into thought.
Hearing that Luoqi was taken by Arasaka people, V's first thought was whether Abernathey was behind it, not suspecting himself.

"What? Did you find the intelligence?"
"Not yet, I've caught a cyberpunk who knows about Ascension Technology intelligence, but he refuses to talk and says he wants to see you."
"I want the intelligence, not a mercenary who knows the intelligence, understand? Or are you saying you can't even handle one mercenary? I don't have time for this now, this is your mission."
V was clearly not in a good mood. He had thought the intelligence was found, but it turned out to be just a captured mercenary, and he didn't have time to see any mercenary now.
"But he said he wouldn't speak until he saw his superior, and he also said he knew all the information about Ascension Technology." The agent on the other side said cautiously after being criticized by V.

Seeing that Luoqi ignored him, the agent slammed his hands heavily on the table.
"Kid, answer my question, stop looking around like that." The agent was annoyed by Luoqi's ignoring attitude.
At this point, Luoqi finally focused his attention on the agent, thought for a moment, and spoke.
"I'd like to ask, which department are you from?"
"What does that have to do with you? Now, tell us the information you know, that's what you need to do. I don't have time to waste with you."
The agent had seen many arrogant cyberpunks, but this was the first one he couldn't handle. He just wanted to quickly pry the intelligence out of this guy's mouth.
Luoqi, however, found the agent's anxious look a bit amusing.
"Don't rush. I'll answer your question only if you answer mine." Luoqi seemed completely unhurried.
The agent took a deep breath. Seeing that this kid was unyielding, he reluctantly answered Luoqi's question.
"Counterintelligence."
Hearing these words, Luoqi rubbed his chin and smiled.
'Did I run into them? Could V be in charge of this? If so, and he still had me arrested, that would be truly messed up.' Luoqi thought to himself.
"I want to see your superior."
Luoqi's words struck the agent hard again.
Seriously, is Arasaka Tower your home? You think you can see whoever you want? You're in our hands right now, can't you figure out your situation?
A million thoughts raced through the agent's mind.
"Impossible. Tell us the information you know right now."
The agent flatly refused Luoqi's request.
Luoqi, however, spread his hands.
"So, there's nothing to discuss?
Let me tell you this, I know all the information about Ascension Technology, but your rank is too low. It's pointless talking to you. Send the big boss."
Hearing Luoqi's words, the agent's expression became serious, as if judging whether what Luoqi said was true.
In his opinion, this guy was just a vendor; how much could he know? At most, he might reveal a higher-up in Ascension Technology.
Now he was telling him that he knew all the information about Ascension Technology. It seemed they had misjudged before; this guy knew more than they thought.
After a moment of silence, the agent stared at Luoqi and spoke.
"You better make sure what you're saying is true. If you make me lose face in front of my superior, I'll show you what I can do."
"Don't worry, I'm confident. Just call your master here." Luoqi said with a smile, lightly tapping the table with his fingers.
Ignoring Luoqi's taunt, the agent hesitated for a moment, then called his superior and told Luoqi to wait.
Shortly after, the door to the interrogation room was pushed open.
Unsurprisingly, V walked in.
