The Seer's expression shifted.
Barely just a twitch at the corner of her mouth,
a flicker in her silver white eyes,
a tremble in her breath.
But Archer saw it.
He noticed everything.
His body moved before thought could catch up.
"Hey…" his voice cracked as he leaned forward, reaching for her. "Are you…"
Her pupils were blown wide.
Her fingers clenched around the crystal.
Sweat beaded down the side of her temple like dew born from terror.
"Seer?" Archer's voice dropped to a rasp.
"Hey, you alright? Look at me. Is something wrong? Are you…?"
A hand slammed into his chest.
"Beta, STOP!" a witch hissed, dragging him back with shocking strength.
"Do not interfere with the vision!"
Archer snarled, ripping his arm free.
"She is struggling! Why aren't you guys helping her? Just sitting there…watching…"
"Do not touch her!" the witch barked again, stepping between them.
"Break the link and we could lose her permanently. Or your sister for good. Or both."
