Chapter 8 - The Birth of the Eleven and Fractured Moment

Chapter 8: The Birth of the Eleven and Fractured Moment

Noah's breath caught as the husks shuddered. At first they all looked like him—eleven reflections with hollow eyes. But then, one by one, the bodies twisted, reshaping.

Wings unfurled. Scales erupted. Shadows spilled. Fire and halos and machinery crackled back into being.

In moments, the circle was restored. The Supremes once more stood in their true forms—Dragon, Angel, Demon, Machine, Beast, Weapon, Shadow, Sage, Elemental, Blood. No different from before, as though time itself had reset.

And yet… this was no reset. Noah felt it. The annihilation that had once loomed over them no longer threatened. Their existences no longer clashed. Each vessel pulsed with harmony. All eleven could live, breathe, and reign at the same time.

Samael's laughter split the void, dark and booming. "Hahaha! So it works! The Abyss will trembles at my return!"

Seraphael smirked, his spear materializing in a shimmer of holy light. "At last, balance without chains. Even if it means standing beside you, fiend."

Veytharion's grin widened, teeth like burning suns. "Hmph. Better. The flames of my dominion will not be quenched. This is how it should be."

Each Supreme reacted in their way—joy, hunger, calm, amusement—as waves of new information coursed through them. The feedback loop had begun.

Then Orivandus raised his staff, voice soft but commanding.

"Child." His starry eyes locked on Noah. "Now comes your task. Form your spiritual plane within your mind, and draw us there. Only then can we leave this abyss."

Noah blinked. "Spiritual plane… in my mind?"

As if on cue, knowledge unspooled in his thoughts. Instructions whispered like instinct, etched by Kronexus' adjustments. He closed his eyes. The darkness behind his lids bent and cracked, reshaping itself.

An endless expanse unfolded—skies with no horizon, oceans without shore, mountains that rose and fell with the rhythm of his heartbeat. A world within.

Noah gasped. "I… it's done."

The Sage's smile deepened. "Good. Now open the gate, and let us walk together into the new world."

At those words, a rift tore open before Noah. A portal swirled into existence, light bleeding through, promising freedom from the abyss.

One by one, the Supremes stepped inside. The Demon strode first, laughing. The Angel followed with a faint scoff. The Dragon entered like a burning comet. All ten vanished into the rift, their minds already scheming, hungering, dreaming of what awaited.

Noah lingered. His fists clenched at his sides. His heart thundered not with fear, but with resolve.

"It's time." His whisper cracked into a vow. "Lila… wait for me. I'm coming back. And this time… I'll protect you all. From everything."

With that, Noah Draven stepped forward, and the abyss swallowed him no more.

The new world awaited.

---

Noah stepped onto the awakening platform, his figure illuminated by the silver glow of the ceremonial runes. The crowd's murmur dulled into a tense silence as he pressed his palm against the crystal sphere. Its surface was smooth and cold, glimmering faintly like a dormant star.

From where she stood, Lila Ward's heart thudded so violently she thought it might burst. Please… awaken, she prayed silently. An awakening would mean everything. Even the weakest—an F-rank—would be enough. Ranks could be raised, power trained, skills sharpened. What mattered was that awakening brought longevity, strength, and a chance at a future.

Her fingers curled tightly around the railing before her. If he awakens, we'll have more time together. Maybe decades… maybe even centuries. Some say the truly powerful never die.

Her chest tightened at the thought. And if he didn't? If the crystal rejected him? She had already sworn to herself—she would not abandon him. Even if his life burned out in the brief span of an ordinary human, she would walk beside him until the very end.

---

All around the courtyard, other ceremonies were underway in their glass-walled compartments. Cheers erupted as a student nearby awakened with a blazing aura—an uncommon class, perhaps even rare. Whispers followed when another boy collapsed, his eyes glazed, body trembling violently. His soul had been swallowed by his alternates. Officers in dark uniforms rushed in, their expressions grim.

"Another possession," someone muttered.

"Poor bastard… transmigrator," another said, shaking their head.

The boy was dragged away, but Lila barely noticed. Her entire world was on that single platform. On Noah.

---

Ten seconds passed. Nothing.

The crystal remained dark, its glow no brighter than dead glass.

Her throat went dry. She tried to call out, but no sound came. The silence pressed on her like a weight. Students began whispering.

"Is he… failing?"

"Not even an F-rank reaction."

"How pitiful."

"Looks like he will keep hiding behind girls..hehe"

Lila's jaw clenched. She burned their faces into her memory—every single one who dared mock him. If he truly failed, then she would be his shield. If he awakened, she would make them eat those words.

Twenty seconds passed. Still nothing. Even the instructors shifted uncomfortably. One of them scribbled notes, already preparing to announce a failure.

Her nails dug into her palms. Even if you don't awaken… I'll protect you. I promised myself I would. Noah, you're not alone.

---

Then—at the twenty-fifth second—it happened.

A faint hum resonated through the platform. The air grew heavy, charged, as if thunderclouds had gathered overhead. The crystal, once lifeless, began to glow. First a shimmer, then a radiant blaze that spilled across the courtyard. Gasps erupted.

The runes inscribed along the base ignited one by one in rapid succession. Light danced across Noah's face, illuminating him like a figure carved of divine fire.

"What…? That Bright?"

"Twenty-five seconds… and then this?"

"What rank is it even?"

Lila's breath caught, her hands trembling. Tears welled in her eyes—not from fear, but from overwhelming relief and awe.

Her lips parted, and though her voice was a whisper lost in the roar of the crowd, she meant every word:

"Awaken, Noah… awaken and never leave me."

And then the light suddenly vanished...as if the miracle was just a fluke.

This world uses ranks to describes one power level, strength level and artifact level, F for lowest and progressively... E, D, C, B, A, S, SS, SSS, and Supreme for highest.

But equipments, weapons and potential of individuals were based on different system, Lowest - Junk(bronze) then progressively Common(Black Iron), Uncommon(Iron), Rare(Green), Super Rare(Blue), Epic(Purple), Legendary(Yellow), Mythic(Red), Mythical(Black), and Godly(Molten Gold) for highest.

There even is Unique type...but they have varied range...they can even be junk and even legendary...in what they are capable of.

Potential of Individual means that how far can they climb and how easily to reach a power level...For example A super rare rank individual can easily reach its two level lower than its corresponding power level regardless of class gained...but if the a class demand high level resources which are not easily obtainable than a person can be stuck at that two level lower power level. Since Super Rare corresponds to B rank...that is, he can easily attain D rank...but need appropriate resources to advance further...moreover he even advance to A or even S if proper conditions are met.

There even unofficial ranks in between like in Rank A there can be A-(low), A(mid) and A+(peak) ...though they may seem one they are not...a A+ can literarily play with multiple A- and A...this disparity increases with higher power levels.
