Arin's POV
Just as I entered the training arena, a werewolf's jaw made contact with a vampire's fist.
"Stop!" I ran between them and yelled. "What happened to working together?"
Marcus, the young lord who was the vampire, wiped blood from his mouth. "He referred to my nice bloodsucking parasites!"
Derek, a werewolf and warrior in our pack, spat on the ground. "Because you are that!"
I felt like screaming. I had been attempting to get various supernatural species to train together for three days. I'd only managed to break up fights so far.
"This isn't working," Jaxon said as he appeared next to me. "Perhaps we should just accept that some people will never get along."
I reminded him, "We don't have that luxury. No single species could defeat Sir Mordecai on its own. If we want to help Rowan win tomorrow, we need everyone to cooperate."
