Arin's POV
Fifty feet above our heads, the first demon ship exploded against an invisible wall.
Around us, burning metal rained down, and I ducked. "What just happened?"
Behind me, a voice sounded like wind chimes. "Little Luna, you're welcome."
I gasped and whirled around. There was something wrong with the most stunning woman I had ever seen. Her skin gleamed like stars, her ears were pointed, and her eyes were constantly shifting from blue to green to gold and back again.
I said, "Who are you?"
"The Summer Court's Lady Seraphina." Another demon ship bounced off that same invisible barrier when she waved her hand. "We must speak. Now."
My sister, who has silver hair, took hold of my arm. "Watch out, Arin. It's a Fae."
"A what?"
Count Aldric took a step toward us. "Child, fair people. They pose a greater threat than both werewolves and vampires put together."
