In the distance, the ruins of a colonnade suddenly revealed a strange trigram pattern—

It was the pattern of the Zhen Trigram—the Gate of Hell belonging to the Thunder Demon, Chongsu!

An eerie and ominous aura began to spread.
The Panku Box, seamless and flawless as if forged by heaven itself, floated into the air and slotted perfectly into the groove that had appeared on the colonnade.
It fit exactly, without a single flaw or gap.
Then, the cube at the tail of the Panku Box slowly opened, revealing a jade-green gem at its center. In the next instant, it erupted with a blinding surge of energy—
—and from thin air, a distorted, narrow, ancient gate took form.
It resembled the traditional paifang of the Celestial Empire—but twisted and terrifying, like the Gate of the Underworld itself.
Inside, a swirling spatial vortex coiled and churned.

The towering demon grumbled in a deep, rumbling voice, arcs of lightning dancing across his skin.

All living things fell silent.
Even the birds and beasts huddled in their nests,trembling in fear before the god of thunder and lightning.
Since ancient times, lightning had always symbolized heaven's wrath—and no god who wielded thunder was ever weak.

Destruction gave birth to life.
As winter faded and spring returned, thunder would awaken all that slumbered.

Mind clashed against matter.
Reality itself trembled.
The shockwaves roused countless hibernating beasts—their cries of anxiety and pain echoed through the wilderness.
"Huh?"
"There—some blurry figures are watching us."
Carter Slade pointed into the distance.
"Looks like they're staring right at you."
Jean Grey frowned, backing away in disgust.
Carter suddenly realized how conspicuous he looked—a flaming skeleton in a leather jacket!
Still burning.
"Oww, ow ow ow ow!!"
A sharp cry rang out.
"My brother!"
"Your Majesty, the Holy Lord!"
"Please—stop!"
Chongsu howled in pain, pleading for mercy.
"I'll help you build the glorious Empire of the Evil Dragon!"
"Just—stop pulling!!"
...Wait, what?
That was it?
Where was the epic showdown everyone expected?!
Everyone suddenly felt a wave of disappointment.
