Mia woke slowly, her eyes blinking open to soft golden light spilling into the room. For a moment, she forgot everything—the shock, the confession, the sight of Ryan shifting before her eyes.
Then her gaze fell on him.
Ryan was lying on his side, one arm tucked beneath his head, the other draped protectively around her waist. Even in sleep, his presence was overwhelming—warmth radiating from him, his chest rising and falling with calm rhythm.
For a second, her heart raced. He really is a werewolf. Not just a man. Not just a CEO. A creature from the stories I used to laugh at.
But then, as she studied him, she didn't feel fear. Instead, she felt something stronger. A strange comfort. A pull that no secret could erase.
Ryan stirred, his eyes opening slowly. They gleamed faintly gold before softening back to their usual deep, warm shade. A lazy smile curved his lips as he tightened his arm around her.
"Good morning, my love," he murmured, his voice still husky from sleep.
Mia swallowed, staring into those eyes. "Good morning."
He studied her carefully, as if searching for regret in her expression. "How do you feel?"
She hesitated. "Confused… still trying to understand everything. But—" She rested her hand against his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart. "—I'm not afraid. Not anymore."
Relief washed over his face. He kissed her forehead gently. "You don't know how much that means to me. I was so scared you'd run from me forever."
"I almost did," Mia admitted honestly. "But then I realized something. Whether you're a human or a werewolf, you're still Ryan. The man who holds me when I cry, who drives me crazy when you're stubborn, who makes me feel like I matter."
Ryan's throat tightened. He pulled her closer, his hand sliding into her hair. "Mia… you're more than I ever deserved. Do you know that?"
Her eyes softened. "And you're more than I ever expected. So, I guess we're even."
They both laughed quietly, the tension easing between them.
Ryan leaned down, brushing his lips against hers, slow and reverent. "You're my Luna, Mia. Not because the Moon Goddess said so, not because destiny forced it—but because I choose you. Every day, I'll choose you."
Mia's eyes glistened. She kissed him back, this time deeper, firmer, sealing her acceptance with the press of her lips. "And I'll choose you. Even if I don't know what being a Luna means yet… I'll learn. With you."
Ryan exhaled shakily, his forehead pressing to hers. "Then I promise you'll never walk this path alone."
They stayed in each other's arms, breathing in sync, hearts beating together. Outside, the world stirred with its usual chaos, but in that bed, nothing mattered except the unbreakable bond between them—human and werewolf, two souls entwined by love and fate.
