Chapter 132 - that keeps the playful chaos, tension, and Lin Chen’s over-the-top cleverness:

Catwoman stood, shrugged off her jacket, revealing a sleek black swimsuit. After a few warm-up stretches, she leapt into the pool.

Lin Chen sighed, "And this is a warm-up? What if you get cramps?"

The Widow Sister rolled her eyes. "As if I didn't know what you were thinking." She tossed aside her broom and coat, revealing her own swimsuit, and began her stretches.

Lin Chen muttered, "So it turns out the swimming pool is the main attraction. You didn't even ask permission!"

The Widow Sister joined Catwoman in the pool, their movements graceful in the sparkling water. The sunlight scattered across the surface, creating a mesmerizing scene.

"Dear friends," Lin Chen addressed the live stream, "today's broadcast ends here."

Barrage comments flooded the screen:

"Daoist, you're unbelievable!"

"I want to see 'two five three'!"

"Your solitary Taoist habits are awful!"

Lin Chen ignored them and pulled Harley Quinn into the pool.

The four of them lounged by the poolside, gazing at the bay beneath the mountain. Lin Chen suggested, "The yacht hasn't been used yet… maybe we go fishing next time?"

Harley whispered, "Master, you have to put sunscreen on me."

"Necessary," he replied with a smile.

But happiness never lasts long.

Jill called, frantic. "Master, Gordon is dead! It's chaos now—the clown's target might be you next."

Lin Chen remained calm. "Be careful yourself. Many in the bureau are threatened."

"Gordon… dead? How did this happen?" Jill's voice trembled.

Lin Chen's tone was casual, almost teasing. "Things aren't as simple as they seem. You don't think Gordon's death is… suspicious?"

"What do you mean?" Jill asked, stunned.

"Suspended animation. It was part of a plan with Batman."

Jill blinked, speechless. "How do you know?"

"I didn't even see Batman's full face, but I can tell far more than you realize… I even know what color underwear you're wearing today."

"Why don't you die!" Jill yelled and hung up.

Natasha Romanoff, eavesdropping nearby, muttered in disbelief, "Underwear color? This bastard!" She quickly spun around to avoid Lin Chen's gaze.

"I wasn't talking about you," he said dryly, noticing her nervous glance. "Also, that table has been wiped for twenty minutes already."

The Widow Sister turned and meticulously cleaned the chair beside her, as Lin Chen shook his head and walked outside.

At that moment, the doorbell rang. He checked his surveillance phone: eight police detectives stood outside, stern and professional. Several more officers had surrounded the villa.

"What's happening?" Lin Chen asked.

The Widow Sister peeked over. "Is this about your robbery and murder?"

Lin Chen rolled his eyes. "They must've found out I haven't repaid some debts."

He called Jill, who seemed just as confused.

"There's no action in the southern district. Maybe it's the eastern district police," she said.

"Hunting criminals can cross districts… probably trying to catch Catwoman," Lin Chen deduced.

Catwoman, hearing this, prepared to flee.

"No need. Stay in your room," Lin Chen instructed calmly.

A fat-headed detective stepped forward. "Mr. Lin Chen, we received a report that the thief Catwoman is hiding here. Please surrender her."

Reporters crowded outside, eager for a story.

Lin Chen smirked. "Joker? Or someone else?"

He recognized Luther and his secretary among the onlookers. Luther waved slyly.

Lin Chen sighed. "So my new neighbor gifted me eye drops, huh?"

Turning to the fat detective, Lin Chen said, "My one hundred yuan is missing. Maybe she took it. Can you help me recover it?"

The detective scowled. "Sir, please cooperate with the authorities."

"Do you have a search warrant?" Lin Chen asked.

"No… but we're searching for criminals!"

"Without a warrant, you must leave," Lin Chen said firmly.

He leaned close to Luther and whispered, "That one million I gave you is still hot. Want me to report it for you?"

Luther froze. Lin Chen's calm, precise intimidation was enough to stall the entire group.

Even in Gotham, Lin Chen's audacity and cleverness made it clear: no one could truly corner him—not the clowns, not the police, and certainly not the press.
