Chapter 78 - IT MIGHT HURT

As Flynn and Dylan walked toward the convenience store, Flynn couldn't help but shiver. The cold wind nipped at his cheeks and hands, and he rubbed his palms together briskly, trying to warm them.

"Christmas is coming soon," Dylan said softly, his voice almost carried away by the breeze. "This will be the first Christmas I get to spend with you."

"It's also the first Christmas I'll be away from home," Flynn replied, his breath visible in the crisp air. "So much has changed since you came into my life."

"Do you... regret meeting me?" Dylan asked, a teasing edge in his voice.

"I don't know," Flynn said honestly, staring down at his feet as he rubbed his hands faster. "But ever since you came, everything feels... lighter. Strange, but I'm slowly getting used to it. How about you? Do you regret meeting me?"

Dylan laughed softly, then stopped and turned to face him. The streetlight caught the curve of his smile, soft and serious at once. "Regret? Why would I? Meeting you is probably the happiest thing that's ever happened to me. A lot has changed in me since then, but I would never, ever regret you coming into my life."

Flynn couldn't help but smirk. "You're so corny," he said, shaking his head, and continued walking.

Dylan just smirked back, a quiet warmth in his eyes, and fell in step beside him.

-

When Flynn and Dylan returned to the apartment, the two of them just settled into a movie marathon while drinking canned beer and eating the food they had bought. It had been a long time since they'd had the chance to enjoy a moment like this, with how busy they both were with school.

They didn't realize how much time had passed. When the movie ended, Flynn saw that Dylan had fallen asleep on his seat while still holding a can of beer.

Flynn turned off the TV and immediately cleaned up their food containers and the empty cans. Slowly, he took the can from Dylan's hand so he wouldn't wake him.

After cleaning up, Flynn went to wash himself before heading to bed. When he finished showering and changing his clothes, he went back to the living room to wake Dylan and tell him to take a bath and move to the bedroom to sleep.

But seeing how deeply Dylan was asleep-clearly worn out from both the alcohol and exhaustion-Flynn decided not to wake him. Dylan had always been the one taking care of everything, always taking care of him. For once, Flynn wanted to return that care. Carefully, he lifted Dylan and carried him to the bedroom.

After laying Dylan down on the bed, Flynn immediately took off Dylan's shoes. Next, he removed Dylan's pants. As Flynn unbuttoned Dylan's shirt one by one, he couldn't help but stare at him. Despite being clumsy, rough around the edges, and sharp-tongued when awake, the Dylan sleeping in front of him looked handsome and innocent.

Flynn remembered the moment Dylan had confessed his feelings to him. Until now, Flynn still hadn't given him a clear answer. He understood the situation they were in-their current relationship-but he still couldn't fully admit to himself what he truly felt for Dylan.

When Flynn finished unbuttoning Dylan's shirt, Dylan's broad chest and defined abs came into view. It wasn't unfamiliar to Flynn, but seeing him like this-sleeping peacefully-made warmth slowly spread through his body.

Slowly, Flynn climbed on top of Dylan and leaned down until their faces were only inches apart. Dylan was still sleeping soundly, his steady breathing the only thing that could be heard. As Flynn watched him up close, he remembered what Dylan had said earlier on the way to the convenience store:

"Regret? Why would I? Meeting you is probably the happiest thing that's ever happened to me. A lot has changed in me since then, but I would never, ever regret you coming into my life."

Flynn had called it corny at the time, but he could feel how sincere Dylan had been-and now, his chest tightened in a way he couldn't quite explain.

Slowly, Flynn pressed his lips against Dylan's. He tasted alcohol in Dylan's mouth and felt the warmth of his breath, which only made his body heat further. Without realizing it, his kisses grew deeper.

Moments later, Flynn felt that Dylan was starting to respond to the kiss, until he felt Dylan's hand on his head and a slow stroke along his back, and they began to exchange kisses.

Dylan held Flynn by both shoulders and laid him down on the bed, then positioned himself on top of him. He completely removed his own clothes and then took off Flynn's as well, and they continued kissing.

The room filled with loud sounds of moans and the wet noise of their kisses. Dylan couldn't hold back anymore and abruptly flipped Flynn over, pressing him face-down as he tugged his pants down.

Flynn was startled by what Dylan suddenly did.

"W-what are you doing?" Flynn asked while holding Dylan's hand.

"I want to fuck you," Dylan said.

Flynn's eyes widened at Dylan's words.

"W-what? Is that really necessary?"

"Of course. I've wanted to enter that hole of yours for a long time, if you only knew."

"It might hurt."

"Only at first," Dylan said as he tried again to pull down Flynn's pants again, but Flynn suddenly turned over and half-sat up.

"I don't think I can yet. What if I'm the one who fucks you instead?" Flynn said hesitantly.

"Me? Sure," Dylan immediately replied and stood up, about to remove his boxers, but Flynn quickly stopped him.

"W-wait. You didn't even think about whether it would hurt or not?"

"I don't have time to think about that anymore. As long as we satisfy each other, I'll be happy."

"I... I don't think I can yet," Flynn said. The disappointment was clear on his face-not just because he couldn't give Dylan what he wanted, but because Dylan was always the one initiating, always the one satisfying him, and he still wasn't able to do the same in return.

Dylan smirked at Flynn's words and lay down beside him on the bed.

"Hey, don't look so down. It's okay if you're not ready yet. We can just do what we usually do until you are ready."

"Are you sure?"

Dylan didn't answer right away. He simply cupped Flynn's cheek.

"I'm sure," Dylan said, before leaning over him, kissing him, and continuing the moment they had almost lost.
