She wore her purple hair in long braids twining with purple ribbon, and white dress dotted with purple hearts. Her eyes were a deeper purple than her hair. She was actually quite striking. But he had no attraction to her. Not to anyone. Since that night when he gave in to his lusts, he had never again cheated on Neella. She would never know, of course. But he knew, and that had to be enough.
"Can you sign it to Mrs. Patowilly, please?" she asked. "Why'd you call it The Curse of the Fairy Princess?"
Donovan paused in writing the inscription, and frowned up at her. "Because the princess is cursed to never know her true love."
One purple eyebrow quirked. The expression reminded him so much of Neella, he couldn't think straight for a moment. He cleared his throat, try to oust the knot lodged there.
