It was terrifying, this feeling.
Love turned him into someone he didn't know, made him act in ways that weren't his own, and then this … this gorgeous devastation did something worse than all the rest: It made him believe in happily ever after.
He stood at the window, his gaze taking in the seamless indigo sky. In the fae realm there were no stars. No sun. No moon. There was day, and there was night, both achieved in a magical way they all accepted. There were no scientists here, no curious souls searching to understand why something was, or seek ways to improve it. This place was perfect--nature's beauty and bounty, all without a single mistake in either root or petal. The fae were connected to their world, an extension of everything around them.
There were doorways to other worlds, but the one fairies liked to visit most of all was the human world.
