"Father, she came just as Gabriel had suspected."
"Lucas, I've always known you to be a thorough man; as my son, you wouldn't disappoint me."
"Father, all he did was stand there and offer little word, Luke grumbled."
Luke was the silver-haired and arrogant one.
"You almost ruined things. I've always warned you to stay away from that spoiled girl, and she even lost one of her men."
"How would we explain this to the chief when we get back?" Master Jules seemed to be scared of the chief.
"The only way out is for us to bring the emblem this time or go with the head of Master Felix or his child; that way we can appease him for losing one of his people." Lucas answered.
"That's why you're the eldest, always thinking ahead." Master Jules' laughter filled the room.
Gabriel stood outside the door for a while before walking away.
Everyone had their plans.
...
In Master Felix's manor
"What did you say happened to her?" Master Felix growled as he scattered everything on the table.
