After circling the skies once, the newly Eastern-dragon-form Xiao Guang glided to Chu Chengzhou's side. In a flash of white-gold light, its hundred-meter divine body shrank rapidly—condensing into a two-meter-long "little spicy noodle."
"Growl~"
The now-adorable Xiao Guang nuzzled Chu Chengzhou gently with its tiny dragon head.
"Not bad, not bad!"
Chu Chengzhou reached up and affectionately tapped the small horns on Xiao Guang's head, nodding in deep satisfaction.
Western dragons weren't ugly, sure—but they simply couldn't match the elegance and majesty of an Eastern dragon.
"Since you now wield the Time attribute… how about I name you the Time Dragon?"
After a careful inspection, Chu Chengzhou bestowed a new name upon his spirit.
Then, activating the Spirit Heart trait of his True Spirit Banner martial soul—which granted perfect mental resonance—he probed Xiao Guang's new capabilities beyond mere appearance.
Undoubtedly, Xiao Guang was now a million-year soul beast wielding the Law of Time. In human terms, that equated to a Level 100 soul master who walked the path of Time Law.
But crucially—it was not yet a true Beast God.
Just like human soul masters, soul beasts required two conditions to ascend to godhood:
Reach million-year status, and
2. Possess a divine position (godhood slot).
Similarly, Xiao Guang's grasp of Time Law was still rudimentary—comparable to Chu Chengzhou's own current state. It had not yet reached the level required to self-forged a divine position.
Even so, Xiao Guang now ranked second strongest among all known soul beasts on Douluo Continent.
And if you excluded Silver Dragon King—the ultimate super-boss—it was undisputed number one.
- Di Tian, the Golden-Eyed Black Dragon King, was powerful—but his age was a hard limit.
- Tianmeng Ice Silkworm had million-year status, but its combat prowess didn't match its age.
- Deep Sea Demon Whale King was in a similar boat as Xiao Guang—lacking a divine position.
But in a direct fight? Xiao Guang would crush the Whale King.
Why?
Because as a spirit summon, Xiao Guang feared no death—and more importantly, possessed three Yin-Yang Complementary Soul Cores.
Unlike natural soul beasts—which only had two core cavities—Chu Chengzhou, through countless experiments leveraging the "deathless" nature of his summons, had long ago carved a third core cavity into each of his nine spirits.
After his True Spirit Banner martial soul evolved, he used the Spirit Fusion trait to merge with them—taking the spirit as the core and himself as the support—to forge triple Yin-Yang Complementary Soul Cores for all nine.
At equal age, one extra soul core was enough to guarantee overwhelming dominance.

Suddenly, Chu Chengzhou froze.
Before its transformation, as a Light Holy Dragon, Xiao Guang had possessed three innate soul skills:
- Dragon's Light (Amplification)
- Sanctuary of Light (Defense)
- Mastery of Light (Versatile)
…plus the innate Domain of Light.
Now, as the Dragon of Time, all three skills and the domain had evolved:
- Time Dragon's Might
- Time Sanctuary

Their effects had massively improved—and a brand-new ability had emerged.
The upgrade itself wasn't surprising—bloodline shift naturally altered innate skills.
But this newly born ability—Time Reversion—left Chu Chengzhou stunned.

This was divine art— a true divine ability.
And it wasn't just his assumption—Xiao Guang itself conveyed that the essence of Time Reversion was on a far higher plane than its other skills or domain.

Time Reversion sounded grand—but what did it actually do?
Could it rewind the entire timeline? Or merely restore a target's state to a prior moment?
…It definitely wasn't the former. A mere million-year soul beast—not even a Beast God—couldn't possibly manipulate world-scale causality.
Even a Supreme God King who fully mastered Time Law likely couldn't reverse universal time.
So it must be localized state reversal.
But then—how far back could it go? What was the cost? And… could it restore the dead?
"ROAR—!"
In an instant, Xiao Guang shot skyward, swelling back to its hundred-meter form. White-gold radiance exploded outward—and a rippling, translucent beam of time-energy lanced down, enveloping Chu Chengzhou.
He felt a wave of Time Law energy wash over him.
Then—his arm wound vanished.
As if it had never existed.
"Roar~growl~!"
Xiao Guang cheered excitedly at seeing its master healed.
"Hold on—let's test it more!"
After several more trials on himself and Xiao Guang, Chu Chengzhou raised his hand. From the sea below, a small fish shot up, hovering before him.
With a casual flick of soul-infused fingertips—
Tragedy struck.
The poor fish was not only killed but sliced into three pieces: head, torso, and tail.
Fish (in its final thoughts): Please… just be a decent being!
"Now—focus on this fish head," Chu Chengzhou pointed at the wide-eyed, lifeless head.
Truly… died with eyes wide open!
"Growl~"
A beam infused with Time Law energy enveloped the severed head.
Instantly—
The fish head transformed back into a whole, living fish.
In the blink of an eye… its body was restored.
