Chapter 471: Might Guy Pokémon Hatching

Obito felt he probably would not need a Nin Beast before the next internal spar. He had received his egg even later than Shisui, and Shisui's had not hatched yet. That meant his would likely be even later.
Even if it hatched before the internal battle, a newborn Nin Beast would not have real combat power anyway.
So although Obito was eager, he also knew it was not the time to get anxious.
At that moment, Kakashi and Manewra ran past them. Manewra clearly heard Obito speaking badly about it.
The puppy immediately got angry and rammed Obito with its head.

Watching the man and dog disappear into the distance, Obito was furious enough that his teeth ached. For a moment, he sincerely wished they would run into a trap and fall into a giant pit.
"You evil white fur puppy," Obito muttered. "When my egg hatches, I'll definitely show you."
He could not help rubbing the smooth surface of his unhatched Nin Beast Egg.
Now Obito truly could not wait. He wished he could skip straight to the day his egg hatched.
In the end, he went to Mugetsu.
"Teacher Mugetsu," Obito asked earnestly, "is there any way to make this egg hatch faster?"
Mugetsu thought for a moment. "Keeping it with you more should make it faster."
The Pokemon Eggs Obito and the others received were bound to them. Only the owner could hatch the egg. If the egg was left with Mugetsu, nothing would change.
"Will that really work?" Obito questioned immediately, glancing toward Guy, who was doing one handed push ups while holding his egg. "Guy carries his around every day, and it still hasn't hatched."
The instant Obito finished speaking, a fierce white light burst out and wrapped around Guy.
Obito froze.
He was completely dumbfounded.
"What is going on?" Obito blurted. "Am I turning into Kakashi?"
In Obito's impression, only Kakashi had this kind of timing.
"It must be Kakashi who infected me," Obito added internally, furious. "Damn Kakashi."
But his eyes stayed glued to the white light.
"What kind of Nin Beast will Guy's be?"
The light was too dense. Obito could not see anything inside it.

Kakashi, who noticed the anomaly while running, immediately dashed back and watched silently.

He did not like thin dogs like Guy. If he had a choice, he preferred something stronger, something more imposing.
He did not know whether it was imagination, but Obito felt Riolu shot him a displeased look.
"Haha, it looks like it has huge potential if you put in effort!" Guy lifted Riolu with a wide, toothy grin.
Guy did not mind Riolu's small size at all. Guy himself had not been strong once. He became strong through daily training.
In fact, no matter what hatched, Guy would not dislike it. Even if the Nin Beast was weak at first, he would train with it, grow with it, and become stronger together.
Riolu seemed to feel the pure emotion coming from Guy. Its red eyes sparkled.
"Riolu," it barked happily.
