"Wha... What?" Giant Shuriken saw his attack miss and fell into a momentary rage. Because of this, he lost his window to dodge.
Giant Shuriken had gravely underestimated her, falling into complacency because V lacked a ninja's aura.
Helpless, Earthquake could only withdraw his attack, turning his fist towards Giant Shuriken and blocking in front of him.

A stinging pain shot through his arm. The katana sliced through his gauntlet, opening a massive wound on his hand.
Fortunately, his body was massive enough that this small wound was inconsequential.
Don't let his massive size fool you; in reality, his intelligence was not low. He used his brain, a trait that made him particularly formidable.

Hers was a top-tier Sandevistan with extreme acceleration. In truth, among ninjas, this was strong speed, not an unreactable level of speed.
Giant Shuriken held the shuriken in his hand, using it as a melee weapon. His Karate wasn't weak; he had simply been too careless before. Now, he would get serious.
