Sasuke saw the familiar back of a short, blond-haired figure appear before him, standing between him and Itachi Uchiha, just as he had stood between them before.
Hot blood splashed onto his face. In a daze, he saw the image of Kakashi, his back overlapping with Naruto's.
Naruto turned his head slightly, looking at Sasuke and speaking his last words.
"Live, Sasuke."
Sasuke's face and hands were covered in blood, but most of it wasn't his—it was Naruto's and Kakashi's.
This reality was hard for him to accept. The intense mental shock made him feel like vomiting.
Itachi Uchiha pulled out the kunai, trailing a ribbon of blood that dripped onto Sasuke's face again. He pointed the kunai at Sasuke's eyes.
"How tragic. If you had just stayed down, you wouldn't have had to die."
"Stop resisting, Sasuke. That's two people already. How many more will you get killed?"
Rage. His mind went blank. Even though Naruto was the one who had been pierced, Sasuke felt a sharp pain in his own heart, as if it were being cut by a knife.
"I'll kill you…"
"I will absolutely kill you!"
His face smeared with blood, Sasuke looked up at Itachi Uchiha, tears of blood streaming from his eyes.
Hatred, Cursed Energy, the power of the Cursed Seal, spiritual power… he didn't know what it was, but it all peaked and merged into his eyes.
The three-tomoe finally completed its transformation, becoming a jet-black Star of David. The pattern of pure black lines on the dark red iris had an eerie beauty.
'Finally…' Seeing Sasuke's transformation, Itachi Uchiha sighed in relief internally.
This appearance was a success, he could confirm that. Next, it was his turn to exit the stage.
Having achieved his objective, Itachi Uchiha instantly lost his will to fight and deactivated the Cursed Seal that had been supplying him with power.
Sasuke immediately noticed the change. Itachi Uchiha's movements slowed, as if his Chakra was severely depleted.
He didn't suspect the other was faking it. After all, it was a miracle he had lasted this long under normal circumstances.
First, he had fought Gojo Satoru and the others for a long time, exhausting their Cursed Energy. Then he fought Naruto in his Tailed Beast transformation, and even Naruto, who possessed the Tailed Beast's Chakra, couldn't hold out.
The current Itachi Uchiha was at the end of his rope. He was certain of this. But no matter what, Sasuke's goal remained unchanged: to kill him!
"Itachi Uchiha is almost out of Chakra! Don't let him escape!"
As tears of blood continued to stream down, Sasuke shouted while activating his dōjutsu. Upon awakening the Sharingan, he had naturally come to know its powers.
The black flames of Amaterasu ignited, this time not on Sasuke and the others, but on Itachi Uchiha.
Was it the same dōjutsu? Itachi Uchiha instantly threw off his Akatsuki cloak, blocking Sasuke's line of sight. Amaterasu's only weakness was that it was difficult to land a hit.
Itachi Uchiha's fighting style could be said to be a perfect counter to Amaterasu. With crow clones and genjutsu, one normally couldn't even find his real body, let alone ignite it with Amaterasu.
He himself was aware of this, which was why he deactivated the Cursed Seal and was fighting with his currently Chakra-depleted body.
If Sasuke couldn't even defeat him in this state, then he was ultimately still a weakling!
Itachi Uchiha's body burst apart into countless crows. Although his Chakra was low, he was only holding back on the amount of Chakra; he was still taking Sasuke very seriously.
Hearing Sasuke's cry, Gojo Satoru instantly grabbed Yuta Okkotsu and teleported to Naruto's side, using Reverse Cursed Technique to heal his body.

Gojo Satoru quickly realized Sasuke was right. He had rescued Naruto without being hit by Tsukuyomi, which could only mean one thing: his opponent didn't have enough Chakra to incapacitate him.
The previous battle had been the most helpless one he had ever experienced. If he tried to get close, he'd get hit with Tsukuyomi. If he tried to play support, he'd get hit with Tsukuyomi. If he tried to block damage with his Limitless, he'd get hit with Tsukuyomi…
The Six Eyes was completely countered by the Sharingan. Other people's fights were at least a back-and-forth, but for him, it was one move, one Tsukuyomi. All his Cursed Energy was spent on healing himself.
The incomplete Senjutsu Chakra would cause his body to petrify, and that was his only Cursed Energy drain.
Staring at the crimson moon was giving him a nervous breakdown. Now, even seeing Sasuke's Mangekyo Sharingan gave him a sense of PTSD, fearing he would inexplicably fall into a genjutsu again.
Fortunately, Itachi Uchiha was truly running low on Chakra. Realizing this, Gojo Satoru let go of his restraints and fully activated his Six Eyes.
The Chakra on the scattered crows was not identical. In an instant, he found Itachi Uchiha's real body!
"Over there!" The crimson moon appeared again, and this time, Gojo Satoru, pulled into Tsukuyomi, finally revealed a sneer.
Ignoring Gojo Satoru, who was once again frozen in place, Sasuke whipped his head around. Amaterasu ignited a crow in the sky, but it just died dispassionately.
'Not that one!' He instantly realized Itachi Uchiha was on the move.
The black flames suddenly transformed into chains, spreading outwards and igniting an entire flock of crows.
Kagutsuchi, the dōjutsu of Sasuke's other Mangekyo, which could control flames, including those of Amaterasu.
Itachi Uchiha clearly hadn't expected this move. He was ignited by Amaterasu, the black flames burning on his hand, impossible to extinguish.
Making a swift decision, he brandished the kunai in his hand, preparing to sacrifice his arm.
"You're pretty good with genjutsu. Why'd you stop using it?"
Gojo Satoru's voice, seething with anger, came from behind him. It was Gojo Satoru, half of his body petrified. After breaking free from Tsukuyomi, he hadn't even used Reverse Cursed Technique and had teleported directly behind Itachi Uchiha.
'Damn it.' Itachi Uchiha immediately knew what was about to happen.
"Now it's your turn to taste what it's like to have your mind crushed, Itachi Uchiha."
"Domain Expansion—Unlimited Void!"
