Chapter 339: How Come She Actually Came Down?

Flamme took a deep breath, suppressing her various speculations, and said to Olivia, "In that case, I will take her back to the Magic Association."

She walked toward Solifla, squatted down, and looked her in the eye.

Flamme was in a dilemma, unsure whether she should release some of her power to make the demon more obedient. But upon seeing the girl's adorable little face, or rather, upon sensing the sacred aura emanating from her, she abandoned the idea of intimidation.

"Come with me. I'll take you somewhere." Flamme's tone was calm, yet carried an unquestionable air.

Solis watched her quietly, without resistance or response, simply standing up obediently, as if it didn't matter to her where she went.

Flamme sighed inwardly. This demon was indeed extraordinary. For most demons, certain instincts are ingrained in their bones and can be learned from birth, such as the perception of danger or the fear of powerful beings.

Now that she and Olivia stood before her, the girl showed no fear at all, as if those instincts did not exist, making her even more emotionless than a typical demon.

She reached out and gently took Solis's small hand in hers. It felt slightly cool, but there was no strange sensation as she had expected when coming into contact with a demon.

Then Flamme took out a crystal containing a small teleportation spell, which would allow her to return to the Magic Association quickly.

Olivia sensed the crystal's magical aura, a knowing look appearing in her eyes. She then took two steps back, giving Flamme space to cast her spell.

Seeing this, Flamme couldn't help but say, "Senior Olivia, why don't you come back with me?"

Olivia paused for a moment, but still shook her head. "No need. I'm going back to heaven now."

As Flamme watched Olivia take two steps back, as if to see her off, she thought of Olivia returning to the heavenly kingdom later, alone. For no reason, a strong sense of pity rose in her heart.

"Senior Olivia," Flamme couldn't help but speak again, her voice more earnest than before. "Although I don't know why you've locked yourself away in that divine realm, I believe that Teacher Kurtz wouldn't want to see you continue to isolate yourself."

Upon hearing Flamme speak words strikingly similar to Kurtz's, Olivia's expression grew complex.

In fact, she had taken Kurtz's words to heart. Otherwise, she wouldn't have been able to appear here and find the special demon Solis. But subconsciously, she still resisted it. At the very least, there needed to be a plausible reason.

And Flamme had just provided that reason.

"You should have also noticed the abnormality of this demon. She simultaneously possesses demonic characteristics and a pure holy aura, which completely violates the existing laws of cognition. Teacher Kurtz will definitely research this." She paused, observing Olivia's reaction, and continued,

"You were the first to come into contact with her, and you possess the strongest divine power. Your existence might play a key role in unraveling the mysteries surrounding her."

She pressed further. "Furthermore, regarding this cave and the traces of Carlo's activities here, you can provide Teacher Kurtz with more complete information back at the Magic Association."

Flamme made a point of mentioning Kurtz because she knew that for the Skywing Clan elder, who had lived for over a thousand years, the only one who could change her mind was her teacher, Kurtz.

Olivia remained silent for a long time after listening.

Returning to the Kingdom of God alone was certainly in accordance with her vow and long-standing habit, but Flamme had given her a perfectly reasonable excuse.

She remembered Kurtz visiting her in the Heavenly City not long ago and advising her not to imprison herself. She also remembered the brief but profound years she had spent fighting alongside Kurtz, Serie, and others a thousand years ago.

"Alright then." After a long silence, Olivia nodded gently and said, "I'll go back with you."

A delighted smile immediately spread across Flamme's face. "Great! Let's set off right now!"

She activated the teleportation crystal in her hand, and this time, a soft spatial light enveloped the three of them: Flamme, Solis, and the newly joined Olivia. The light flashed, and the cave returned to silence, leaving only traces of magic in the air.

...

Inside the Magic Association, as space twisted, the figures of Flamme and her two companions appeared out of thin air.

Kurtz and Serie, who had been waiting there, immediately turned their attention to them.

When Kurtz saw Olivia appear with Flamme and Solifla, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes, which quickly turned into a smile as he nodded at her.

Meanwhile, Serie, standing next to Kurtz, couldn't quite keep her pretty face still.

Why did this woman actually come down?

Her eyes narrowed slightly as she looked at Olivia, and the corners of her mouth turned down almost imperceptibly. In her mind, Olivia, nominally Kurtz's only family member, always posed a high threat, second only to Flamme, and was a rival she needed to be especially wary of.

Hadn't she sworn never to leave the Heavenly City?

Although Serie had been present when Kurtz persuaded her, Olivia had only said she would consider it. Had she already made up her mind in just a few years? Wasn't that suspiciously quick? And how had Flamme managed to bring her back after just one trip?

That girl was more persuasive than Serie had given her credit for.

However, as the winner, Serie naturally wouldn't show her jealousy openly. She merely gave a soft hum as a greeting, then, like Kurtz, focused her gaze on the strange demon.

"Is this the special demon?" Serie's tone was filled with undisguised curiosity.

She could clearly sense the contradictory aura emanating from Solis, a demonic body with a dominant divine aura within it. Even with her thousands of years of experience, she had never seen or even heard of such a combination.

"Yes, Master," Flamme replied, releasing her grip on Solis's hand.

She had never had any good feelings toward the demon race. After all, her hometown had been destroyed by the demons. If it weren't for her teacher Kurtz saying that the demon race could never be completely wiped out, she would have already considered a plan to exterminate them.

Unfortunately, as long as there were living beings, there would be monsters, and the demon race was a highly intelligent species born of them.

The cycle was endless. Unless you could wipe out all living beings in the world, monsters would never disappear, and the same applied to the demon race.
