Chapter 124: Drawing Attention
Under Satoru's gaze, Aizen calmly explained his Zanpakutō's ability.
There was nothing hidden, and it was basically the same as what Satoru knew.
After speaking, Aizen looked at Satoru.
"You don't seem very surprised."
"As expected, you already had some understanding of my abilities before this?"
Satoru blinked, feigning ignorance.
Aizen chuckled softly.
He patted the hilt of his sword. "In any case, if you don't want to be caught by my Kyōka Suigetsu, be careful from now on. When you see me draw my sword, look away and avoid making contact with it."
Satoru lifted his head arrogantly. "What do I have to fear from mere illusions?"
In that moment of posturing, he ruthlessly suppressed the memory of himself instinctively ducking and covering his head the first time he saw Kyōka Suigetsu.
Aizen nodded noncommittally.
After explaining the ability of Kyōka Suigetsu, he prepared to take action.
But Satoru stopped him.
With a serious expression, Satoru walked over.
"Sōsuke, you telling me something so important has moved me deeply."
"I've decided to tell you something very important as well!"
Aizen crossed his arms, tucked them into his sleeves, and nodded casually.
"Speak."
Satoru took a deep breath. "Actually, compared to girls with big ○, I prefer ones with smaller ○."
Aizen barely restrained the urge to kick him, ignored the comment outright, and turned to leave.
Satoru quickly coughed.
"Just kidding, I was just joking."
He grabbed Aizen and said:
"Sōsuke, I still don't know the name of my Zanpakutō."
Aizen: "?"
Under Aizen's puzzled gaze, Satoru briefly recounted how he had been surrounded by two captain-level opponents during the prison incident and awakened his Zanpakutō's power.
Hearing that Satoru had gained the power of his Zanpakutō without knowing its name, Aizen couldn't help but frown.
How could this be?
Since the founding of the Soul Society, there had never been a Shinigami who mastered their Zanpakutō's abilities without knowing its name.
Especially since Satoru had awakened more than one ability.
Was this Zanpakutō running a charity? Handing over all its power without even having its name mastered?
Even with his usual composure, Aizen couldn't help but double-check to make sure Satoru wasn't just spouting nonsense.
Confirming that Satoru wasn't lying, Aizen felt a surge of excitement.
His intuition told him that Satoru's current situation held great potential.
Perhaps it could provide new ideas and directions for his research!
Although he wanted to start researching immediately, the time and place weren't right.
"Let's capture Hollows first. We'll discuss this after returning to the Soul Society."
And so, the two began their activities in Hueco Mundo.
...
...
In the vast silver desert, over a dozen Gillian-class Menos Grande drifted silently.
Towering dozens or even hundreds of meters tall, they moved like giant whales swimming in the deep sea.
Even from a distance, they exuded an overwhelming sense of oppression.
On a nearby sand dune, two youths in Shinigami uniforms exchanged a glance.
"You take the ones on the right, I'll take the left. Leave the big one in the middle."
Aizen drew his sword, his brown eyes fixed intently on the large Hollow in the center with a hint of delight.
Based on his experience, this Hollow's power had reached a critical point.
If it continued to grow, it would likely break through its limits within a few decades and become an even more powerful being.
This was exactly the kind of Hollow he needed most right now!
The moment his words fell, he vanished from his position with a flash step, charging into the Menos Grande horde.
On the other side, Satoru made the same move.
He drew his blade and casually uttered a name.
In the next instant, a sprawling black shadow spanning dozens of meters emerged from the white sands of Hueco Mundo.
These shadows, as if possessing life, rampaged across the battlefield.
Within moments, three or four Gillians were struck by the massive blades formed from the shadows, dissipating into scattered specks of Reishi light.
As for Aizen, he simply swung his sword a few times, releasing waves of sword pressure.
This technique was something Satoru had originally learned from Yamamoto and later taught to him.
Though unremarkable in appearance, it was practical, and he rather liked it.
Under the overwhelming power of the two, the mere dozen or so Gillians were forcibly dismantled without even a chance to resist.
Only one remained, letting out a "furious" roar.
It opened its massive mouth, a red sphere of light swirling and condensing.
Aizen made no move to stop it, instead watching with keen interest.
In the next moment, a crimson energy wave shot forth, slamming violently toward him!
Facing the Menos Grande's Cero, Aizen merely raised a hand and gently pushed it forward.
BOOM!!!
The oncoming Cero struck an invisible wall, unable to advance even an inch further.
There was no Kidō barrier—only pure Reiatsu suppression.
The high-energy, high-speed Reishi impact dissipated into the air under the pressure of an even greater Reiatsu.
After the Cero finished spewing out, the Gillian couldn't help but freeze in place.
Though it lacked reason, it still possessed instincts.
This "little insect" before it was not to be trifled with!
If it didn't run quickly, it would be devoured!
It twisted its hundred-meter tall, slender body, desperately turning in another direction.
But as soon as it turned around, it was met with a demonic grinning face.
Satoru swung a specially-made lasso, firmly binding this Gillian.
Then, with a powerful tug, he violently flipped the long black creature onto the ground.
As the Gillian twisted and struggled, Aizen used Shunpo to land beside its head. He pulled out a long, large needle from somewhere and forcefully stabbed it through the gap in the white mask.
Before long, the Gillian stopped struggling and went limp.
Looking at his "masterpiece," Aizen revealed a smile.
"Finally caught one."
This was already their third time coming to Hueco Mundo.
Though it was called Hueco Mundo, most areas were actually quite difficult to find Hollows.
While they managed to catch some decent Menos Grande each time they came across one like today - a top-tier Gillian on the verge of breaking through - was still quite exciting.
After some simple processing, the two quickly left Hueco Mundo and returned to Soul Society.
According to Aizen, if they didn't hurry to process and preserve it, the freshness would be compromised.
To this, Satoru could only pray that Aizen wouldn't bring these bizarre ingredients to compete in the top chef circles...
Not long after the two left, four figures abruptly appeared in the area.
Leading them was a golden short-haired Hollow in human form.
The moment she appeared, she scanned the surroundings.
The Reishi remnants in the air, though deliberately concealed, still revealed the fact that a battle had just occurred here.
"...They succeeded again, it seems."
She crossed her arms and slightly furrowed her brows.
