Chapter 187 - Sasuke's Smugness

It had only been a few days since Minato took office as the Seventh Hokage, and children at school were already debating about the "Yellow Flash."

"My dad is the Yellow Flash. His Flying Thunder God Technique is the best in the Ninja World, everyone knows that. If you run into him, you might as well abandon your mission and run. Last time, I saw him teleport to the top of Hokage Rock in one second. Can your dad do that?"

Naruto stood with his hands on his hips, his yellow hair dazzling in the sun, his voice full of pride.

Sasuke frowned, not wanting to be outdone by Naruto. "My dad is the Daimyo of the Land of Water. He also has the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan and can use Susanoo."

"My dad is awesome!"

"My dad is even more awesome!"

As the two argued, they started to fight.

Sasuke charged first, swinging his small fists at Naruto. He had learned a few basic taijutsu moves from his father, and his movements were quite decent.

After a flurry of wild punches, Naruto gradually gained the upper hand.

Sasuke was quickly pinned to the ground by Naruto, unable to move.

"Sasuke, do you give up?!" Naruto yelled triumphantly, straddling Sasuke.

Sasuke's face turned red, angry and anxious, but he stubbornly refused to surrender. His heart was filled with unwillingness. His father was so powerful, yet he couldn't even beat Naruto.

Just then, a burning sensation suddenly came from his eyes, and the world before him seemed to change instantly.

Naruto's triumphant smile became exceptionally clear in his eyes. He could even see the lines of muscle on Naruto's arm distinctly.

"Ah!" Sasuke suddenly shouted, a burst of power erupting and pushing Naruto away.

Naruto was pushed to the ground, watching Sasuke's eyes change.

He opened his mouth in surprise. "Sasuke, why are your eyes red?"

The surrounding children also gathered around, chattering about Sasuke's eyes, their voices full of curiosity and envy.

Sasuke touched his eyes, feeling the Chakra surging within him. The earlier grievances and anger were instantly replaced by pride.

He looked up triumphantly at Naruto. "This is the Sharingan, the Uchiha's Kekkei Genkai. Let's fight again, this time I'll definitely win."

Naruto disliked Sasuke's arrogant demeanor the most, and he shouted defiantly, "Bring it on, who's afraid of you!"

He raised his fist and charged at Sasuke. But Sasuke had activated his One-Tomoe Sharingan, so Naruto's attacks appeared in slow motion to him. He easily dodged the attack, punched Naruto in the stomach, and knocked him to the ground.

"I won! I told you I could win!"

Sasuke stood in front of Naruto, hands on his hips, a triumphant smile on his face.

The surrounding children gathered around, praising Sasuke's prowess. This made Sasuke even prouder. He couldn't help but walk with his head held high.

...

That evening, the palace living room was especially lively.

As soon as Sasuke returned home, he couldn't wait to show everyone his One-Tomoe Sharingan.

Seishin, Karin, and Shiryu all gathered around Sasuke.

Karin tugged at Sasuke's sleeve, her voice soft and a little whiny. "Sasuke, your eyes are so cool. I want a Sharingan too."

Seishin nodded vigorously, waving his small fists. "Yes. I want a Sharingan too."

Shion was young and didn't quite understand the power of the Sharingan, but she also nodded along, saying softly, "Me too."

The children chattered, one after another, clamoring for their mother to help them activate their Sharingan.

Shun had just returned home from handling state affairs and smiled helplessly at the lively scene before him.

He walked over and picked up Karin, explaining gently, "It's not that the earlier you awaken the Sharingan, the better. The growth of the Sharingan requires a large amount of Chakra, and if awakened too early, the Sharingan will compete with the body for nutrients, affecting future growth."

Looking at the children's persistent gazes, he sat among the children and continued to explain, "I only awakened my Sharingan at 16, and the legendary Madara activated his at 15. You are only 6 this year, your bodies are still developing, and it's the time to build a strong foundation. When you grow a little older and your bodies are strong enough, the Sharingan will naturally be very easy to awaken."

Hamamaru was the first to sensibly say, "Dad is right, we should practice taijutsu now and awaken the Sharingan when we are older."

With their elder brother leading the way, the other children also nodded, no longer clamoring to awaken their Sharingan.

Only Sasuke stood aside, still feeling a bit smug.

"Sasuke, you defeated Naruto today, do you feel very powerful?"

Sasuke nodded, saying proudly, "Yes. With the Sharingan, I could instantly see Naruto's movements and easily defeat him."

Shun looked at Sasuke's eyes and continued, "Sasuke, a true strong person will not become arrogant because of one victory. Look at your older brother Hamamaru and younger brother Shiryu, even though they don't have the Sharingan, they practice taijutsu every day and never show off."

Sasuke said proudly, "But I already have the Sharingan."

Hearing this, Shun turned and called out, "Hamamaru, you and Sasuke fight, let him see your power."

Hamamaru was startled, then walked to the center of the living room and extended his hand to Sasuke.

"Sasuke, let's have a match, just a light touch."

"A match is a match, don't think I'm afraid of you just because you're the older brother. I have the Sharingan now."

Sasuke immediately agreed, a hint of disdain flashing in his eyes. He believed he could easily defeat his older brother.

The match began, and Sasuke first activated his Sharingan, his eyes fixed on Hamamaru's movements, trying to predict his attacks. But Hamamaru was, after all, the elder brother, practicing taijutsu every day, and his movements were much more agile than Naruto's.

Although Sasuke's Sharingan could see the movements, he couldn't keep up with Hamamaru's speed and gradually became a little flustered.

Suddenly, Hamamaru seized an opening in Sasuke, dodged his punch sideways, and gently pushed Sasuke's shoulder with his right hand.

Sasuke lost his balance, stumbled back a few steps, and fell to the ground.

Hamamaru stood aside, his tone calm. "Dad, I won."

Sasuke sat on the ground, unable to believe that he had lost.

He had the Sharingan, how could he not beat his older brother who didn't have the Sharingan?

He shouted defiantly, "That doesn't count! I wasn't ready just now, let's have another match!"

Shun, however, shook his head. "Shiryu, you also have a match with Sasuke, don't hold back."

Although Shiryu was younger than Sasuke, he was born with great strength and usually practiced taijutsu with Hamamaru.

He nodded, bowed to Sasuke. "Sasuke, let's begin."

Sasuke charged directly, wanting to finish the fight quickly.

Shiryu dodged sideways, and at the same time, swung his fist, hitting Sasuke's arm. The immense force made Sasuke stumble back three steps, then fall to the ground.

"Sorry, Sasuke, I used too much force." Shiryu stood aside, scratching his head, a little embarrassed.

Two consecutive defeats completely stunned Sasuke.

His nose suddenly stung, and tears fell. "Why... I have the Sharingan, but I still can't beat them..."
