Chapter 11 - The War Is Over?

Inside the command center, there was a map table in the middle, covered with small flags representing military strength.

More than 50 Jonin gathered, each with an exceptionally grim expression, filled with fatigue and anxiety.

The first to speak out was Yashiro, who slammed the table and roared, "Fugaku, you knew Kannabi Bridge was just a show, so why did you agree to let Hamaki take 100 people there? What's the difference between that and sending them to their deaths?"

This direct accusation angered Fugaku. He slammed the table and shouted, "Enough, Yashiro, I am the Commander-in-Chief. I'll say it one last time, the Kannabi Bridge operation is an order from the village's higher-ups, so stop discussing this matter. We should think about how to overcome the challenges ahead."

Fugaku's strong attitude temporarily calmed the situation.

But then, Unkai stepped forward, raising an even more urgent issue, "Three days ago, the logistics squad was attacked, and all supplies were destroyed. The village has not replenished supplies. Now, the medicine in the outpost is almost gone, and people are dying in the medical department every moment. Weapons and ammunition will last until tonight at most, what will we fight with tomorrow?"

His words were like a bombshell, igniting the anxiety of everyone present.

The head of the Kazami clan also chimed in with a mournful face, "Clan head Fugaku, you must think of a solution. We, 8,000 people fighting against 11,000 Iwagakure ninjas, have held out for a year and a half. Not counting the injured and disabled, over 3,000 have died, and now only over 4,000 remain combat-ready. If we keep fighting, we'll all probably die here."

As soon as he spoke, the surrounding Jonin began to whisper, some even saying in despair, "We are already outnumbered. It's bad enough the village isn't sending reinforcements, but now they're even holding back supplies. They clearly want us all to die here."

The more they discussed, the more chaotic the atmosphere in the command center became, with doubts and complaints rising one after another.

Fugaku's veins bulged on his forehead, and his eyes almost spewed fire. He slammed the table again and roared, "Regarding the supplies, that's enough! I will find a way to solve it. Next topic!"

Seeing Fugaku's appearance, everyone gradually quieted down, leaving only heavy breathing.

Yashiro unseasonably broke the silence and said, "Shun, analyze the current situation."

Hearing Yashiro call his name, Shun knew this was an opportunity to show his abilities.

So, he scanned the people in the room with his eyes, stood up, and said, "I believe everyone has heard that the Third Raikage was surrounded and killed by a large number of Iwagakure ninjas. But the question is, how could Iwagakure ambush so many people in advance? There is only one answer, the Third Raikage's whereabouts were leaked. Only the village's higher-ups would know the movements of a Kage. This means there is a problem within Kumogakure."

As soon as these words were spoken, everyone was astonished. Some whispered, while others showed expressions of sudden realization.

Shun continued, "Given the Fourth Raikage's brute-like personality, he will definitely eliminate internal traitors first before launching a war against Iwagakure. Furthermore, according to Kumogakure's customs, he needs to undergo a three-day mourning period for his father, and the Third Raikage has just died three days ago. So, at the earliest, he will launch a war against Iwagakure tomorrow. This means we will see Kumogakure ninjas near the Land of Waterfall the day after tomorrow."

This analysis was clear, logical, and well-reasoned, gradually drawing everyone present into deep thought. The conference room was eerily quiet, everyone holding their breath, their eyes fixed on this young Uchiha, waiting for him to continue.

Suddenly, a civilian Jonin interjected, "Since Iwagakure is deploying defenses in the Land of Waterfall to defend against Kumogakure's attack, why did the village send Jonin Hamaki with 100 people to guard Kannabi Bridge on the border of the Land of Waterfall? Is it really just a show and a grab for credit?"

Hearing someone mention Kannabi Bridge again, Fugaku clenched his fists, his heart also filled with anger.

He naturally understood that this was the village's higher-ups trying to grab credit and suppress the Uchiha, but could he say such a thing?

A slip of the tongue would only damage the morale of the front lines, making their situation even more difficult.

Noticing Fugaku's gaze, Shun cooperatively replied, "Minato going to Kannabi Bridge indicates that the village's higher-ups and Kumogakure have reached an agreement. In other words, the war between Konoha and Kumogakure has actually ended."

This astonishing conclusion caused an uproar throughout the room.

After speaking, he turned and pointed to the map on the wall. "Once the Kumogakure Battlefield ceases fire, the Konoha ninjas who were fighting there can be withdrawn. I estimate that at least 2,000 to 3,000 ninjas can be withdrawn."

Upon hearing this, Unkai's eyes lit up, and he interjected, "If that's the case, can we apply to the village for some reinforcements? Even if only 500 people come, it would greatly relieve the pressure here."

Hearing Unkai's suggestion, the command center again began to whisper, and hope rekindled in their eyes.

Shun gently shook his head and said, "I guess the village will send reinforcements to the Kirigakure Battlefield. With those reinforcements, by February next year, Kirigakure's invasion can be repelled. By then, Kumogakure will have ceased hostilities, and Kirigakure will have retreated. Then our remaining enemies will only be Iwagakure and Sunagakure."

Upon hearing this, a flash of insight appeared in the Kazami clan head's mind, and he whispered, "Then the war will truly be over."

These few words immediately attracted the attention of those around him.

The war had been going on for over a year. With the many deaths, naturally many people were starting to get tired of it.

"The Land of Wind is full of yellow sand, with scarce resources, and all food imports rely on our Land of Fire. Once the situation deteriorates, Sunagakure will have no choice but to surrender. As for the war between Iwagakure and Kumogakure, it is unlikely to end easily, so to avoid being attacked on two fronts, Iwagakure will actively seek peace with Konoha. At that time, the war will naturally end."

After hearing Shun's strategic analysis, the atmosphere in the conference room changed. The original suppression and anxiety were replaced by surprise and excitement.

Everyone began to discuss in low voices, some nodding frequently, others whispering to each other to verify the logic.

Fugaku cleared his throat, signaling everyone to be quiet. "Shun's analysis is very insightful. It seems we are not fighting alone. The entire Ninja World's situation is developing in our favor. Everyone, please hold on a little longer. As long as we overcome these final difficulties, victory is within reach."

Upon hearing this, the Jonin present straightened their backs, and their eyes regained their sparkle.
