Chapter 42 - Ch.42

Naturally, before taking Seiya to the movie, Yuko made sure there were no R-rated scenes. Otherwise, she would never have taken him. Even though she was a doujinshi artist, she cared deeply about her son's well-being. She forbade him from entering her room while she was working so he wouldn't see things he shouldn't.

But Yuko didn't know that Seiya was an adult in a child's body. He knew everything she knew and more. He had seen all the doujinshi she hid, and he would say the quality was average. Yuko's art style was great, but her ideas were not very creative. In short, they were not kinky enough to satisfy the old perverts. But she couldn't be blamed. She was only 20 and had no experience, so it was normal for her to lack inspiration. As a veteran from his past life, Seiya had a lot of ideas, but his age and identity prevented him from sharing them. He would be seen as a pervert if he did.

The lights in the theater went out, and the movie began. As a romance film, the beginning was nothing special. It wasn't a bad adaptation, but it wasn't a good one either. But when the young female protagonist ran into the mountains and was attacked by a wolf, the movie hit its first peak. In the original anime, the kendo boy was very strong. The difference between anime and movies was that anime could use drawings to create any scene. Even a fantastical and unscientific scene could be done in an anime, but in real life, fighting a wolf was not an easy feat, especially for a child.

In the anime, the scene where the kendo boy fights the wolf was a high point. But a fan would know that this scene would be hard to replicate in a movie. The movie was most likely going to cut or change the scene.

But when the scene came on, the boy on the screen with a bamboo sword looked up with a determined look in his eyes, and everyone in the theater was shocked!

"Is this a movie or an anime? Who is this boy? Is that So-ya in real life?"

"Someone tell me this boy is CGI and not real. After seeing this boy, I feel like I've lived my life for nothing. If I were to fight him, I would probably lose."

"Damn, this kid is amazing! What kind of kendo family is he from? Why is he in this movie as an extra?"

It was a social norm to be quiet in a movie theater, but when the scene of Seiya fighting the wolf came on, especially the scene where he used the bamboo sword to block the wolf's teeth and the drool dripped on his face, people gasped in awe. The anime fans, who were in their rebellious stage, started yelling that the boy was So-ya himself, the name of the male lead. The silent theater became a madhouse until the theater staff came to calm them down.

For a two-hour movie, a five-minute fighting scene was not too long or too short. When Seiya, who was playing the kendo boy, fell off the cliff, everyone sighed. Yuko, who was sitting next to Seiya, had been holding his arm tight since the fighting scene began. She was so tense that if Seiya hadn't gotten a power-up, he would have been hurt by her grip. When he fell off the cliff, Yuko was so invested in the movie that she pulled him into a tight hug.

Seiya's head was squeezed between her chest, and a sweet scent filled his nostrils. But he soon felt a suffocating feeling.

"Yuko, I... I can't... breathe. I'm just acting, but if you don't let go, I'm... going to die."

When Yuko heard Seiya's faint voice, she realized she had gotten a little too excited. She looked at Seiya and slowly let go of him. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. The kid in the movie looked exactly like you, and I didn't expect you to act so well. I really thought you were in danger."

Even though the scene was over, Yuko was still in shock. Her praise for him was not an empty word. She genuinely thought his acting was amazing. She couldn't believe a five-year-old child could have such an emotional and action-packed performance. She finally understood why Mrs. Arima said Director Okawa was so impressed with Seiya.

Yuko looked at Seiya, who was sitting on her lap, and stroked his head. She then smiled and said, "I never knew my little Seiya had this kind of talent."

Even though Seiya's scenes were over, Yuko and he watched the whole movie. Seiya wanted to go back to his seat, but Yuko held him down on her lap. When he gave her a questioning look, she said, "I'm scared that you'll get hurt like the kid in the movie. My sister is still in a coma, and I only have you now... Besides, you're only five. It's okay to be spoiled by a grown-up once in a while."
