Alex?
My jaw clenched as I watched him stop the guards from a distance. He tore the ropes and Amanda dropped into his arms while he carried her bridal style away.
A dangerous groan left my lips as my arms tightened onto the wheelchair, knuckles already white.
No one defies my order. No one dares interrupt whatever instructions I had issued out.
I don't know how long I remained fuming at the hurt of whatever had happened when a knock erupted on the door, and standing there was no one other than him.
"How dare you," I barked, interrupting whatever he had come to say as his lips parted.
"You don't defy my instructions. Stay away from Amanda!" I yelled while a smirk surprisingly appeared on his face, replacing the earlier unreadable expression.
"Oh!" He exclaimed, more to my amazement, stepping closer. "Tell me, dearest cousin, what are you afraid of?"
I bit down on my lips as my blood boiled.
