Before creation itself existed, there was nothing but darkness and solitude. There was no sound, no matter—until two beings were born in that desolate void: Joseph and Void.
Both appeared as humanoid figures shaped like black and white holes. They were opposites—Void, the black hole, destroyed everything he touched, while his brother Joseph could bring things into existence with the power of imagination.
Despite their differences, the two brothers loved each other. Together, they created Paradise and the Underworld, each meant to hold different kinds of beings.
In Paradise lived creatures of light and goodness, while in the Underworld resided hostile and aggressive beings.
But soon, Void began to grow jealous of his brother. Joseph was admired and cherished, while Void was ignored and overlooked.
This envy grew stronger when Joseph created the angels—pure, perfect, protective beings. In response, Void formed the Shadow Clan, creatures made of black smoke with humanlike shapes.
Yet Joseph once again outshined him, this time creating a balanced race: humans. The first were named Adam and Eve.
Seeing this, Void began plotting revenge. His heart slowly filled with malice.
—Millions of years later. Year: 1942, United States—
A man murmured to himself, burdened by the task of creating a weapon of mass destruction to defeat Nazi Germany. Suddenly, a strange woman appeared and asked him something unexpected.
"So, you're trying to build a weapon of mass destruction, huh?"
"HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT… ARE YOU A SPY?!"
"Relax. You were literally saying it out loud."
"Oh… right."
"Well, if you want, I can help you."
"How could you possibly help? You don't even understand what I'm doing."
"Why not try atomic energy? After all, it's an unstable source of power."
The scientist paused. Her words stirred his mind—atomic energy. Could it work? She seemed like a genius. But just as he was about to ask who she really was, she revealed her true nature: a demon.
—Four years later—
August 5, 1945. The scientist, now completely obsessed with his project, had the blueprints for the bomb nearly complete. But instead of stopping there, he had begun experimenting with demon blood to create new biological weapons. The demon herself lay calmly on a stretcher, amused by his ambition.
Suddenly, soldiers burst in, declaring he was under arrest for developing bioweapons. But the scientist refused to surrender. Grabbing a vial filled with gunpowder and demon blood—the equivalent of a controlled atomic weapon—he set off an explosion that consumed everything.
When he awoke, he realized he was still alive. The demon had kept him alive, handing him his documents. Before vanishing forever, she spoke:
"Heh, that was fun. But let me warn you—if you finish that weapon and it's ever used, humanity will change forever. The responsibility will be yours."
"I don't care. I'll take that risk."
"Heh… humans really are fascinating."
