The bell above the diner door jingled softly as Felix and Adrian walked in. Today they were eating at "Mark & Wendy's," The best burger spot in town. The aroma of sizzling patties and hot cheese drifted through the air.
"I was thinking of coming over for a drink," someone called out to them.
"You might have to wait a while," Felix responded.
"Look who decided to leave their little cafe."
More greetings like that followed them as they slid into their usual booth by the window.
A waitress approached holding a pad, and they quickly placed their orders— Felix chose a double patty with fries and soda, while Adrian decided on a veggie sandwich with spicy fried chicken and a milkshake.
Just as the waitress left, the bell chimed again.
"Felix, what a coincidence," came a familiar voice.
