In the serene town of Jalal deep deep within the heart of Japan, there existed a remarkable ancient temple. Hidden from the outside world.
Under the watchful eye of their master, students gathered in the dojo, their faces a blend of determination and respect, all the students were monks as they were wore similar monk attires yellow and red with no hairs.
One student stood out among the rest – Lang, a young boy who was different from the rest of the monks, unlike everyone else he was different been the strongest amongst them
Despite his visible tattoo, Lang possessed an exceptional skill in what the temple called Taijutsu, a martial art that blended physical prowess with spiritual energy. Though all the young monks there all had the same cosmic energies of the color yellow except from Lang whose own was blue.
All of them raging from the age of twelve to fifty but Lang been seventeen still stood on top.
His abilities were not ordinary; been born out of tragedy. Lang who came from a wealthy family became a subject of target after been rescued from the horrific murder that took the lives of his parents. He was only five at that time.
After this incident, his uncle, recognizing the potential within him, took Lang under his care.
He was guided to a wise sensei, a master not just in Taijutsu but also in the harnessing of spiritual energy, even though not recognized as an izigan but his knowledge on ancient spiritual energy places him on top.
The sensei, Master Sin su, perceptive and wise, understood that Lang's powers would grow with his pain, and perhaps, even surpass the bounds of imagination.
Only his younger sister Mei remained, the sole thread connecting him to his past.
She was also lucky, she wasn't there that night.
It was during his meditation section, He wore a simple robe of flowing orange and yellow cloth, draped over one shoulder in traditional monk fashion. Legs crossed, sitting on a plain stone flour.
His izigan tattoo began to glow faintly, following the tattoo pattern on his arms.
The images of his past flashed and he couldn't stop himself from remembering the only voice he could hear was
"let go of your past, break the chain"
His masters voice echoing in his mind.
Master Sin su, had warned, warned Lang that allowing his past to control him could unleash powers beyond his control. Lang's existence narrowed down in protecting his sister at all cost.
Mika , Lang's girlfriend who had been staring at Lang for a while worried and restless finally ran to meet his after observing his uneasiness.
With a gentle touch, she calmed his raging emotions. Nearby, his best friend Kenji observed the scene.
"He still hasn't learned to control that power, has he?" remarked Kenji Lang's closest friend as approached them.
"No, he hasn't," replied Mika, her eyes filled with concern.
"He would overcome it, he just need time, grief is sometimes hard to let go"
"If he can't let go of the past, he won't be able to control it. That's why I defeat him in sparing section sometimes"
Held his chin with a faint smile, trying to make a joke out of the scene but he soon realized that wasn't good time.
Both Lang and Mika gave him a side eye look, he had to change his words quickly.
"Lang is strong I believe in him. Don't worry, with time he will learn how to live with it. Trust me went I say so."
His chuckle was strained and didn't reach his eyes
"I have Mei and you guys so I don't have to worry" Lang said with relieve
"well I would begin to start considering if you are part of that family, kenji."
"What do you mean, I'm your rival remember"
"Says the guy who can't materialize his powers"
"I'm good at tiajustu, dumbass"
Kenji argued, both Lang and Kenji had their faces nearly meeting each other
"Alright you guys just stop, what's wrong with you guys"
Master Sin su watched from a distance with relieve seeing Lang having fun.
Till Jin one of his personal monk appeared at his side.
He was the senior monk among them and had a different appearance, He wore a fitted black robe with loose, baggy trousers that swayed with each step. With blue intricate lines for design across the chest.
"Do you think he was learn how to control the power of his, gravity is quite a formidable power to possess.
but still I sense something even more disturbing around him.
There is some kind of aura I keep feeling whenever I am around him, some kind of dark Presence it's unsettling. Jin took a deep breath activating his Era eyes still staring at Lang He continued.
"We cannot be certain that he produces a positive energy now but what we should know is that negative aura I sense around him should not be his true form. I can't explain it but even now I see that dark energy emanating from him. It will be so vivid for someone who has my abilities. I will keep watch on him."
Jin's vision could visibly see his aura him also the faint dark energy only a dot size was visible.
"That won't be your task to keep. He would meet someone that would bring him out of that darkness. Lang will see a lot, whatever happens three days from now do not interfere. It is meant to happen"
"It's another vision and this one isn't going to be good from the looks of things."
Jin said still looking at Lang with his friends.
Both kenji and Mika left Lang after he demanded he needed time to meditate, the little comfort from both Mika and Kenji would made him concentrate this time.
"I can control my thoughts this time, I just need to stay focused."
He went to a secluded and prepared to meditate, he took a deep breath, sat on the wooden flour, Lang sat cross-legged, hands resting in his lap, right over left, thumbs touching, still and centered in silent focus.
There were no doors in the room; it was an open space reserved for personal meditation sessions.
After some hours his Izigan tattoo started to glow ominously, a sign that he had overexerted himself. Fatigue claimed him, and he fell into a deep slumber.
It was still early in the evening, the sunset made the sky turn blood red, the monks were rounding up their training section.
Mei came out looking for Lang holding a teddy bear and little drop of tear in her eyes, of all the powerful people in the temple she always thought she wasn't safe without her brother beside her, she wandered in the courtyard moving from corridor to another and checking the meditation room,
"Big bro, big bro"
She called out but the courtyard was quiet, all the monks had gone into their dorms just some distance away from the training base and courtyard.
Mika looked panicked, she was sweating after some minutes of searching for Mei, she just slipped from her grip, she was with her and the next thing she was gone.
"Mei Mei where are you?"
She made it into the courtyard only to seeing Mei moving around from one entrance to another.
"yes"
Mei smiled with relief.
She found him.
He had been still for so long, lost in silent meditation, until his body swayed slightly, then gave in. His head dipped forward, and with a soft thud, he slumped face-first to the ground, leaving his butt facing the ceiling
It was quite an embarrassing scene.
Mei ran in to meet Lang and lay by his said.
Mika saw this and was too surprised, seeing his position, she let out a soft chuckle.
"he's sound asleep, now I need Kenji to help me move him to his dorm, "Haaaaa..."
Later on, the night deepened, and Mei found herself unable to sleep. Their dorms were close to the woods with certain distance, a tall iron fence stretched around the perimeter just in front of the thick forest, she saw only what could be possible in a fairy tale novel or movie, a glowing green butterfly, The butterfly fluttered gently through the air light, she jumped attempting to catch it.
it was beautiful, tiny dust light particle followed it path while it flew. She attempted to wake Mei, but she was lost in a profound slumber.
The butterfly left the room flying towards the woods, Mei couldn't help it but follow it, it was like she been charmed, she hopped trying to catch it still while it took her towards the woods.
she didn't know when she passed a hole opening in the fence leading her into the woods.
As she treaded further into the darkness, her senses heightened, the butterfly she was chasing had vanished.
Suddenly she met an unease greeting as something began to chase her, her eyes met terror, a beast was charging towards her, a blood-curdling scream pierced the silence. It was Mei.
Lang, stirred from his sleep by the echoes of his sister's terror, sprang to his feet. Instinct propelled him into the woods, chasing the direction from which her screams emanated.
Through the tangled undergrowth of the forest floor, Lang ran, fear lending his speed, he launched himself forward with his gravitational powers.
Lang followed, desperate to reach her. Yet, in the midst of this pursuit, something come emerged from the shadows. A malicious force, Lang couldn't see it but it began to chase him, turning the tables on the pursuer.
He could still her the scream of his sister, but it was decreasing like she was been carried away, he couldn't still make sense of what was chasing him , Lang found himself entangled in a nightmare.
A black panther, fierce and menacing, with eyes aflame like burning embers, leaped at him. In a split second, Lang's instincts kicked in, and he dodged the creature's fatal strike, its huge claws came swiping at him. The panther's glowing red eyes bore into his soul, leaving him paralyzed with fear.
Just as the panther was about to pounce, Lang jolted awake, gasping for air. It's was a deep relief; it had only been a nightmare. He held his chest with sweat all over his body, He settled back into his bed, the fear was fading, but a feeling of unease still stayed with him.
'Its a dream'
