Chapter 07: A quiet afternoon.
After several hours of walking, Eiden walked through the streets of Hell's Kitchen while memorizing the streets, its alleys and the entrances to the sewers.
Tired and hungry and seeing that it was already late, he also returned to the apartment building where he lived with his younger sister.
After a while he returned to his apartment and entered and then headed to the kitchen.
Searching the kitchen to see what there was to cook to prepare something and be able to eat some Eiden.
'Although they lack money, they do not lack food, although there is not much there to be stocked with enough food there for several weeks.'
Taking out what he was going to cook, Eiden began to cook without delaying any longer.
After a while and seeing that it only needed to cook for about 10 or 15 minutes.
"Well while I wait I might as well test out my new found strength the night before."
The best thing would be to start with something simple, well I don't have many ways to test my strength anyway.
Lying on the floor of the apartment living room he begins to do push-ups, first starting with both hands.
Seeing how easily he could do it, he started doing it with one hand for another few seconds. Realizing that he barely felt like he was using any force at all.
'Mmm, I already expected this level of strength, although the boy may find work in construction for a long time, this level of strength cannot be achieved alone in that job.' Eiden thought as he continued doing push-ups with one hand.
Seeing that he still didn't feel pressure on his muscles, he put his other hand on the floor and stood up with his feet in the air.
He started doing upside down pushups for another few minutes and then started doing them with one hand as well.
"I still don't lose my breath even with what I'm doing. How much strength will I have gained, seeing that I hardly do any strength, I'll need weights weighing several hundred kilograms to even be able to feel the tension of the weight on my muscles."
Eiden murmured in a calm voice as if he were not doing something that even the most athletic people would struggle to do.
Eiden went down again and with a strong push and great cat-like agility he somersaulted and stood up again.
"Hmm, it seems like I've become more agile too, I wonder if I can do those yoga poses?" While flexing his arms and stretching his back a little.
Eiden began to stretch his muscles testing, he wanted to know how much he could stretch the muscles of his body, but he decided not to do it anyway.
"I'm a little afraid of doing that, that I might get a cramp and lie on the floor screaming like a little girl in pain." Eiden muttered as he put those thoughts aside.
"It may be something stupid but my legs should also have the same strength or I think more if I'm not wrong since the muscles of the legs are larger than those of the arms and they are the ones that are used the most on a daily basis."Eiden looked down at his legs and said to himself as he looked at them.
Seeing how strong his arms were, he bent his knees just a few centimeters and with his apparent great control over his strength he used a little more force than he was using when doing push-ups on the floor. Which wasn't much since he barely felt like he was putting in any effort before.
With a strong push Eiden pushed his body with a jump upwards. But there was something Eiden hadn't counted on.
And he was very tall, measuring 185cm tall, and he was in a closed space, so when he jumped it was normal for him to hit himself.
"""Pooompb""".
Eiden felt a strong blow to the top of his head when he hit the apartment beam, making him clench his teeth.
Making him fall on his butt as he clutched his head in pain.
"Uurgk."
"Urrg, damn what fucking luck to hit one of the beams of the house of all the places that could have been."
After a while of rubbing his head Eiden. He opened his eyes slightly as his mind let go of what just happened and focused his attention on what he did a moment ago.
Since this required much more physical dexterity than doing just a few push-ups, because he had barely gained momentum.
"This is amazing, this gives me a little more clarity on what I'm capable of, I wonder how strong I am and how strong I will become since I'm only at sequence 9."
"I wonder if I am capable of lifting several tons, like Captain America or Spiderman is capable of doing. Although in the Marvel universe only having Captain America's strength would not be enough for the different threats that come to Earth."
I wonder what else I could do. Maybe I should see if I could test how tough I am, although I don't think my body is capable of stopping a bullet. My body is probably capable of withstanding strong impacts or falling from several dozen meters without getting too hurt.
"Sniff." "Sniff."
Eiden, focused on his thoughts, was suddenly startled when a burning smell reached his nose. "Damn the food, I forgot I was cooking." Eiden ran to the kitchen and turned off the stove as soon as he arrived.

After a while I served myself the food and sat in the dining room to eat the food I had cooked, although it didn't taste very good anymore since it had been burned, but it's not like it was the worst thing I had ever eaten in my life "I still remember the first time I cooked it, it was horrible, not even the dog"he wanted to eat that."
Finish eating and pick up the dishes to take them to the sink so you can start washing them along with anything else that gets dirty when you cook.
Finishing washing everything, I stood in the living room and seeing that I had nothing else to do, I looked at the time on my small cell phone and realized at once that I had no messages from Isabella and seeing that it was only about to be two in the afternoon, I went out again to walk for another while since I need to get otherthings for tonight.
.

After Eiden left a pharmacy after buying a pair of gloves, he continued on his way for another while until he received a message from Isabella saying that she would be leaving school in about 30 minutes.
{Okay, I'll go there, I won't be late}.
{Okay}. Isabella replied back to Eiden's message.
{Don't go leaving school, just wait until I arrive to pick you up at the entrance}.
{I know, don't bother me}. With a frustrated tone that could be felt in her words, Isabella responded.
Responding to the message, Eiden put the cell phone away and headed towards the school to go get his sister.

After a while, the door to Eiden's apartment was heard opening and he entered with his sister who had a pout of annoyance on her face.
"I don't know why I need you to pick me up from school, I'm older, I'm going to high school, I don't need you to pick me up from school every day."
"That's not up for discussion Isabella, you're not the one who decides that, just because you're basically already in your second year of high school doesn't mean you can do whatever you want."
"Just because you're my big brother doesn't mean you can tell me what to do, you can't boss me around like I'm a little girl."
"I won't let you walk around the city as you want Isabella, I'm your older brother and until I decide that you no longer need me to protect you, you can go out whenever you want."
Isabella wanted to continue protesting but Eiden gave her a warning look telling her that the argument was over.
"Now sit at the table, I'm going to serve you something to eat."
"I don't want your food, you almost always leave it salty or burnt." Isabella murmured a complaint under her breath as she sat at the table and rested her head.
"Don't be whiny girl and sit up straight while I finish heating the food."
With the scolding Isabella sat up straight as she waited for the food in silence while complaining in her mind.
After a while Eiden finished heating the food and served the food to Isabella. After the first bite she couldn't help the small smile that tugged at her lips.
After finishing eating, Isabella headed with her things to her room, grumbling about having been right about the food.
Upon entering his room he unloaded his things on the bed and began to look around seeing that his drawer was open.
Heading towards the door of her room Isabella raised her head slightly as she asked Eiden:
"Eiden you came into my room."
'Wow, you didn't last a second in the room and you already knew that I had entered your room, who are you, Sherlock Holmes.' Raising an eyebrow slightly Eiden couldn't help but think amused.
"I did go in to look for the thread and needle since one of my shirts was torn open below the armpit."
"Mmm well, why didn't you wait for me to arrive, I could have done it if you asked me a favor to do it."
"You don't have to worry, and it's not like I'm bad at sewing, you know, and I have a lot of time lately."
"Well you're right but it seemed strange to me since when you worked I was the one who did it."
Returning to her room after saying that, Isabella closed the door without giving it any more thought.
Eiden couldn't help the smile that grew on his face when he heard his sister's words, because even though she always complained to him, she was very affectionate and kind.
