Chapter 54 - Chapter 54: The Repentance Sector

Zephyr's words were filled with an unquestionable dominance and confidence. Rocks clutched the wound under his ribs, gasping for breath, but an unwilling flame ignited in his eyes. "Fine! We accept! Just don't let these cornered dogs bite your throat out when the time comes!"

"Gurararara... interesting rules," Newgate chuckled from the side.

"Wahahaha! Do we get to eat if we win?" Linlin's focus was always so unique.

Zephyr looked at these ignorant pirates, and the smile on his face grew wider. He liked this kind of rebellious gaze, because only by completely crushing it could he bring the greatest growth to his students.

"Take them away!" Zephyr waved his hand. "Guard them closely! Don't let them die before we open the cell doors!"

"Sir!" The marines surrounded them again, escorting these special prisoners toward the legendary special prison deep within the colosseum. Ren followed at the end of the group. He glanced at the steel fortress named the Repentance Sector, then at Zephyr's confident back. A faint, almost imperceptible arc appeared on the corner of his calm face. The Trojan Horse was successfully inside the city.

The Repentance Sector. Its name was gentle, but its interior was a veritable steel hell. It was not built on the ground, but suspended in a huge cavern hundreds of meters beneath the G-2 fortress, fixed by alloy chains thicker than a ship's mainmast. The entire sector was carved out of a huge, high-purity Seastone vein. The walls, floor, and ceiling all radiated the unique energy that could make a Devil Fruit user weak.

There were no cell doors here. Each cell was an independent cube sealed by an energy barrier, monitored 24/7 with no blind spots. Not even a fly could get in. It was said that the prisoners here were the most vicious and powerful pirates captured by the Marines. Their will would be ground down here until they became qualified teaching tools.

The Rocks Pirates were imprisoned in several adjacent cells. The moment the energy barriers rose, completely isolating them from the outside world, the expressions on the faces of these monsters, who had just been playing the part of cornered dogs, changed instantly.

"Wahahaha! This place is pretty spacious! Much better than our old wreck!" Gatz stretched, his huge body taking up half the cell. He curiously punched the Seastone wall, which made a dull thud. "Tsk, it's really hard. A fight in here would be awesome."

"Quiet down, you idiot," Wang Zhi leaned against a corner and took out his treasured wine gourd from his pocket. But as soon as he pulled the stopper, he felt a wave of weakness, and the gourd nearly slipped from his hand. "Dammit, I forgot this place is full of Seastone." He sullenly put the gourd back, a look of depression on his face. "A life without wine is worse than death."

"Hungry..." Linlin's weak voice came from the next cell. "The walls here don't taste good. They're hard and hurt my teeth." She had actually just tried to chew on the Seastone wall, only to leave two shallow teeth marks.

Newgate was sitting cross-legged in the center of his cell, meditating. Although he was also affected by the Seastone, his abyss-like physique and Haki were only suppressed, not gone. He was like a dormant tiger, quietly observing this strange environment, feeling the flow of energy in the air.

Rocks sat on the ground, a blatant, amused smile on his face. "Zephyr... an interesting fellow. He actually wants to tame us as his teaching tools. I just don't know if his little Hell's Kitchen is big enough for us dragons to wreak havoc in." His voice was transmitted through the cell's special sound-transmitting holes, clearly reaching everyone's ears.

"Captain, the structure of this base is very strange," Dolum's voice came from another direction. He was lying on the ground, his ear pressed to the floor, like a professional prospector. "I can feel that there are huge energy pipes and ventilation systems running beneath us. The structure is complex, but they all seem to converge at a central point. The vibration frequency is highest there. That should be the power core of this fortress."

"Oh?" Rocks raised an eyebrow. "Can you find a way?"

"Give me a structural diagram, and I can dismantle this place into a pile of parts and then put it back together exactly as it was!" Dolum said confidently. His shipwright's instinct filled him with a desire to study this huge steel creation.

Just as they were exchanging information, a series of heavy footsteps came from outside. A burly man with a jaw as wide as a shovel, wearing a special Rear Admiral's uniform, appeared outside their cells. He was followed by a team of guards armed with Seastone batons.

"All of you, be quiet! Scum!" the man began, his voice like two iron plates grinding together, harsh and unpleasant. "This is the Repentance Sector, not your pleasure boat! From today on, I, 'Iron Jaw' Jango, am your instructor!" He was the highest commander of this special prison, another fanatical admirer of Zephyr, known for his harsh discipline and iron-fisted methods.

"Here, you will learn what discipline is, what justice is! Every day, besides the fixed repentance time, you must recite the basics of the Six Powers three hundred times! Before every meal, you must first shout 'Justice will prevail!' three times! Anyone who dares to disobey..." Rear Admiral Jango grinned, revealing a mouth of gleaming metal teeth—they were a set of custom-made steel dentures. "I will personally knock out his teeth and let him taste what it's like to eat with his gums!"

This show of force made Gatz's brow furrow into a knot, his fists cracking. Wang Zhi just rolled his eyes and muttered, "Crazy." Rocks looked at this theatrical warden, the amusement on his face growing.

Just then, Ren's calm voice sounded: "Excuse me, where is the kitchen?"

Everyone's gaze focused on this child who had been unusually quiet the whole time. Jango was stunned. He looked down at the little brat, who wasn't even as tall as his waist, and frowned. "Kid, this is a prison, not a restaurant!"

"I know," Ren looked up, his eyes as clear as water. "But I'm a chef. Only in a kitchen can I remain calm. Otherwise, my mental state will become very unstable. And if my mental state is unstable, I won't be able to make the Light Horse dish that will satisfy Admiral Zephyr." He had cleverly linked his request with Zephyr's desire.

Jango's expression changed. Teacher Zephyr's order was to guard them closely, not to let them die, and to ensure they could appear as the final boss of the trial. And the legendary Light Horse dish was the main course that Teacher Zephyr had specifically requested for the Feast of Justice. If the main course was ruined because of him, the consequences...
