'For hundreds of years, the HCS has worked tirelessly in order to keep the malevolent forces that govern their world at bay, after humanity's downfall our species were forced to live on moving fortresses known as colonies, blissfully unaware of the war that rages unseen and the sacrifices made they those brave few who hold the line. it had began to seem that all those who enter this war are merely cogs used by the system meant to protect without recognition.'
'Meant watch over those who will never know their names.'
'and meant to fade out of existence without knowing if their actions had any meaning because in this world, the only thing that has been gurrenated for all is a slow painful death...and a fate worse from the veil.'
Standing outside the walls of Crow's lock staring into the distant gray skies with a sober expression,
his bright ocean blue eyes glowing with a slight hymn and his fingertips tapping at the rails with a slow rhythmic speed as if he was banging on a drum ,Altair pulling his pitch black glasses from his jacket and putting them on with a practiced grace.
A young slander shapely dressed woman stood behind him with utter indifference her long white hair and black coat blowing in the wind, her hands drifting to a box of cigarettes in her coat but her eyes never left Altair's back.
"do you know how much i hate the upper brace and this twisted society"Altair murmured under his breath, his mouth sneering in disgust and rage.he doesn't bother looking back, he doesn't need to.
the woman giving him a blank stare that soon turned into a look of understanding, slowly putting her cherry flavoured cigarette into her mouth and as if on cue, a small flame lit the tip of th cigarette with a bright yellow spark.
" No, I don't Altair. I'm not same kind of mind-reader who knows what twisted thoughts go through it"the woman spoke in a voice that cold freeze fire and after a longer pause continued" if your throwing a tantrum about the upper brace's decision to execute HCS case 024, you have known they won't let whatever that body has become life even if he successfully survives awakening'
A long awkward silence stretched between them before Altair finally turned to force her, the beauty of her pale face and the intense flaming gaze behind her ember eyes and the small mocking smirk on her usually stoic face.
"the Hazard council are the ones that govern which entity is allowed to existence and which one needs to be executed, but you went on ahead and used your authority as a member of a royal family to revoked that decision"
the woman paused before continuing
"I assume you aware that your choices will have consequences not even your reputation as the strongest can stop, right?"
her eyes widen in shock as Altair vanishes from her line of sight, his voice echoed from behind her as a sharp almost painful chill raptured down her spine, inhaling sharply, her cigarette pulled to the end as she turned her head slightly to gaze at Altair, towering over her.HIs presence was like a warden of death and destruction and his ocean blue eyes seemed to pierce into the depths of her soul, calculating if she's worth keeping alive.
" I should get to the point and murder all those holy council saints you all seem to worship and burn the system down..." Altair whispered with a dismissive, pausing for a moment before in a even cooler and sharp voice continued.
" if the life of two innocent children doesn't mean anything to them, what's the point of them being worshipped, they nothing but old fart bastards who are obsessed with saving face instead of changing their corrupt system."
Feeling her body tensing and the wide open space of the wall shrinking, the woman turned to stop Altair with plead but to her surprise, he had vanished again, but instead of dread a small sigh of relief left her mouth.
"I would seriously hate being on his bad side." the woman murmured
With trembling hands she reached into her pocket and took out another cigarette, as she stared at the space were Altair once stood.
"you know, your constant smoking is going to kill you someday right"A voice shot out from the ground"
Arching herself over the rails on her tiptoes, the woman sigh in realisation of who it was
"Commander Iron."she sighed with a voice flatter than the brick walkway she stood on.She jumped down and gracefully landed in front of the Stoic commander they gain staring each other down in a long silence.
"So what brings you here, special grade HCS case:007, Seraphina Phoenix." Commander Iron spoke with a strain and cold voice, causing Seraphina stare to darken.
meanwhile...
deep within Crow's lock's research labs.A drowsy and disoriented Soul sits on a medical dask, as alchemist doctors, whose faces are bound with thick armour masks and skin turned into a sickly gray, examine him.
Watching them closely, Soul couldn't help but recoil at the touch of their warm mechanical hands and the extent of their transmutation into something not quite man but not quite machine, the way their spines ached over him and their long limbs and glowing red optics that seemed to be more precatory than nuncing.
Altair walking in with a large grin and a tub of ice cream looked at Soul with a mild amusement as he chuckled to himself.he stepped closer to Soul formally greeting the doctors with a somewhat mocking down as they bowed and stepped back.
" I know they look like they'll dissect you, they probably would love to hear your screams of agony as they carefully examined how you survived the absorption process"
Altair mocked before pausing to see the look of utter terror in Soul's face but to his disappointment.
Soul gave him a blink almost thoughtless stare before tilting his head in confusion.
'I wonder what would get a proper reaction out of him, his really like a robot'
Altair patting Soul's Shoulder sits besides, Altair gives the distant Soul a long stare, his gaze calculating.
"ugh....where are my clothes?"
