After talking to Lu Ke, Lu Ke took off her shoelace and handed it to Xu Yi. Then she pulled some umbrella tree bark over and made new shoelaces.
Xu Yi put away one of the shoelaces and started stringing the bow with the other.
The shoelace is over 1.5 meters long, while the bowstring only needs a little over a meter, so it's more than enough.
Xu Yi only tied one end before Lu Ke called him to eat.
