Leonard previously found out some information about Duke, only knowing that he is a wizard from Black Sail with the identity of a Level 1 Arcanist.
He also discovered that Duke doesn't have much of a background, just a wizard who climbed up from the bottom, which was why he directly stopped Duke from entering earlier.
In fact, if only Vivian had entered, he wouldn't have said a word.
However, because he believed his background and influence were stronger than Duke's, he stopped Duke.
