Chapter 11 - Chapter 10: The Second Summoning

The Inferior Demon disregarded everything and lunged forward.

This is the advantage of Summoned Beasts. Once tamed, they follow any order from their master, even to the point of death.

In contrast,

Chen Feng appeared somewhat cold-blooded.

From start to finish, he showed no concern for the Inferior Demon's injuries, maintaining an indifferent, dismissive demeanor.

What a joke!

Feeling sympathy for Abyssal creatures could be the most ironic joke.

If there's anywhere most evil in this world, then the Abyss undoubtedly ranks first.

The harsh environment keeps the Abyss in a constant state of food scarcity, filled with billions of lives, species in abundance, but rarely is there any being willing to sow crops.

Worms, enemies, even fellow species become their food.

The Abyss is filled with slaughter; unlike human society, those who fail may very well become meals for others the next instant.

Compared to other species, Abyssal creatures are more cunning, more deceitful, and more dangerous, always addicted to madness and evil powers.

Moreover, the relationship between Summoned Beasts and Summoners is inherently that of master and slave. When the summoning capacity is full, some summoners might even voluntarily kill one of their Summoned Beasts for the chance to summon a stronger entity.

Furthermore...

Some mentally twisted summoners might control Enchanting Demons to serve themselves, engaging in indescribable acts.

Although Chen Feng felt no extra emotions towards the Inferior Demon, he had no intention of sacrificing it right now. The Tentacle Monster's arrogance had caused it significant trauma. Even when it quickly reacted, its tentacles were corroded, severely impairing its power.

To repel the enemy, the Tentacle Monster's remaining tentacles continuously slammed against the Inferior Demon, splattering its decayed flesh everywhere—walls, floors, even the windows suffered some corrosion.

The indiscriminate attacks severely damaged the Inferior Demon, its body brutally reduced by half, with rotten intestines and viscera flowing from beneath.

Yet, this wasn't a fatal blow for the Inferior Demon. They refill their injuries with mud and corpses; by devouring a few bodies, they can restore their former grandeur.

Some Inferior Demons, possessing devouring traits, can even gain strength or new abilities from the corpses.

On the contrary, the Tentacle Monster, though it had mucus protecting it from corrosive attacks, faced the Inferior Demon's relentless pursuit, and its strength began depleting. When the mucus eventually ran dry, its troubles truly began.

"Sizzle..."

The Inferior Demon reached the Tentacle Monster, arms wide, embracing it tightly.

"Rip!"

Under such brute force, the Tentacle Monster was nearly crushed, with bright red blood squeezed from its tentacles.

Some of the blood splattered onto Chen Feng, quickly causing his face to flush as new thoughts and impulses surged within.

He subtly changed his complexion, quickly biting his tongue. The taste of blood restored his consciousness.

The Tentacle Monster, like a toy of an Evil God, enveloped in evil capabilities, even its blood contained potent paralyzing agents.

These agents even exert a certain intimidation on males.

In contrast, the Inferior Demon showed no reaction, they don't distinguish between genders; except for eating and killing, all their abilities had vanished long ago.

Everything happened too quickly; the Inferior Demon completely controlled the other's actions. The Tentacle Monster wiggled its tentacles but to no avail; its grotesque body was rapidly corroded, wounds emerging in clusters, blood and flesh obscure.

Chen Feng picked up a nearby bone knife, exerting full force, and flung it; the blade pierced the Tentacle Monster's form, accelerating its demise.

Throwing.

This is a long-range attack method; compared to close combat professionals with Innate advantages, Chen Feng had practiced for a long time, yet only reached beginner level.

"in...on...fy..."

The Inferior Demon's patience was limited, the Tentacle Monster's resistance made it restless. Tightening its arms, it shoved the Monster's face into its own chest.

Suffocation coupled with intense stench left the Tentacle Monster in a state worse than death, its tentacles' swaying slowed gradually. After a while, those slender weapons dangled lifelessly to the ground.

Finally, it had died.

"Whew!"

Chen Feng took a deep breath, heavily sitting on the ground.

Though he hadn't engaged in combat, his mind had been racing, focused intently. An excellent Summoner never loses sight of each fleeting second on the battlefield.

When necessary, he would correct the Summoned Beast's mistakes.

Chen Feng's current strength was still low; only upon reaching Silver Level would such exertion weaken. Every creature requires a process to grow stronger.

Even dragons can't resist an adult's full-force blow upon hatching.

The Tentacle Monster's corpse was, in fact, of considerable value.

Its mucus and blood have hallucinatory effects, some alchemists favor buying these bizarre materials. Through a series of extractions, they can even distill paralyzing potions irresistible to High-tier Professionals.

In black markets, these potions hold high demand.

However, the Tentacle Monster's body was already corroded by the Inferior Demon; even if extracted, they'd only be intestines-agitating toxins not those expensive potions satisfying certain sick pleasures.

Compared to selling, the Tentacle Monster's corpse was of utmost importance to Chen Feng.

Offering.

The Bronze Level allows summoning of two servants; possessing the Tentacle Monster's corpse suggests Chen Feng could soon have his second Summoned Beast.

Chen Feng clenched his fist, swiftly arrived at the Tentacle Monster's side; its once robust body resembled a deflated balloon, lying aside, the bone knife still lodged behind its head.

Taking a deep breath, Chen Feng extracted the bone knife, then slowly inserted his right hand into the Tentacle Monster's head—perhaps a bit nauseating, yet Abyssal creatures favored this sacrificial method. Slaughter, calamity, evil, and merciless punishment attract strong beings' attention.

Unlike the mindless Inferior Demon, some sentient beings even choose Summoners they find pleasing.

Summoning begins.

Chen Feng pierced both hands into the Tentacle Monster's brain matter, his face devoid of expression, a familiar voice immediately sounded: "Evil spirit buried deep within darkness, follow the ancient covenant, listen to my whispers, breach space-time's boundaries. I, willing to exchange powerful flesh for your loyalty..."

A red glow flickered.

Chen Feng's eyes portrayed a scene unfamiliar.
