Su Ruan hadn't expected Lu Shinian to agree to her request so quickly, her eyes brightened, nodding emphatically, "Mm-hmm!"
Soon, a hover car stopped at the villa entrance.
Upon receiving Lu Shinian's directive, the bodyguards finally allowed her to get in the car.
Once inside, Su Ruan excitedly peered out the window, watching familiar yet strange scenes flash before her eyes.
Ten minutes later, the hover car came to a stop.
Vice Wang bowed respectfully, saying, "Miss Su, this way please."
Su Ruan nodded and followed him inside.
"What's he doing now?" she curiously asked.
"The Commander is inspecting the troops," Vice Wang replied, "Please wait in the office."
Vice Wang led her to Lu Shinian's exclusive office.
The office was large, and as soon as she entered, a chill assaulted her, invading her body.
Su Ruan's eyelashes fluttered.
"The Commander will be back soon," Vice Wang said beside her, "Would Miss Su like something to drink?"
"Water will do, thank you." Su Ruan responded.
"Alright." Vice Wang closed the door and quickly left, leaving Su Ruan to survey the entire office.
After just two minutes, the door pushed open from outside again. Su Ruan thought it was Vice Wang, casually saying, "Just put it there."
"Put it where?" Lu Shinian's deep voice resonated in the office.
Su Ruan turned around, looking at Lu Shinian, blushing slightly, explained, "I thought it was Vice Wang bringing water back."
Lu Shinian closed the door, striding with long steps to reach Su Ruan in just a few paces.
Embracing her, a smile tugged at his lips, "How come Ruan Ruan decided to come over today? Hmm?"
His thumb subtly stroked the soft spot on her waist, his voice carrying a hint of huskiness.
