Chapter 36 - Chapter 21: An Unusual Flower

The sound of Sean Lowell fainting and hitting the table wasn't too loud or too soft, just enough to startle Artie Vaughn.

Three seconds after the scare, The Pouting Siren suddenly burst into laughter without warning, "Oh my, is the Master of Feigned Reputation collapsing again? This time, could it be that after just one sip of sparkling wine, he's out?"

Artie was contemplating whether to shoot a funny video for the 19.8 million fans of The Dump Me Alliance.

But The Pouting Siren only thought about it briefly.

The "great feud" between her and Sean Lowell had long been settled.

The Wine Winters Ambassador, who uses a goldfish memory method for all the unpleasant things in life, already bore no animosity towards Master Sean Lowell.

If anything remained, it was a trace of apology.

Though Artie still referred to him as the Master of Feigned Reputation, her smiling tone now was a far cry from the previous "gritting of teeth" manner.

Artie circled the table to check, wanting to see what kind of shocking, divine "liquor" was in front of Sean.

Artie saw two glass bottles, one of Perrier and one of Evian.

Both were in 750ml glass bottles, one bubbling, the other serene.

They seemed like liquor in terms of volume, but they were, in fact, what top restaurants often provided before taking orders, similar to the "lemon water" at regular restaurants.

The alcohol content of both Perrier and Evian was zero.

The Devilish Lolita looked puzzled.

Could someone be playing a prank?

The Pouting Siren, who had a minor cleanliness obsession, disinfected the covers of the two bottles with sanitizer wipes before opening them to sniff.

Regardless of bubbles, neither smelled like alcohol.

"What's really going on? Could it be that there's something in this water that Artie can't detect, but that can knock Master down with one sip?" Artie beamed a relieved yet dazzling smile.

The Pouting Siren still found the scene before her somewhat amusing.

Especially recalling the words she said when persuading Summer Fairmont to return to the country.

This gathering was organized under the guise of having Summer Fairmont help with quality control.

Thinking back now, even Artie found it a bit unbelievable.

How had she "in a flash of inspiration," said those words: "I'm falling for a guy?"

The Winters Ambassador's first impression of Master Sean Lowell was utterly terrible.

A kind of unyielding animosity.

After realizing it was all a misunderstanding, The Pouting Siren deep within felt a profound guilt.

Due to this guilt, Artie's impression of Sean Lowell turned 135 degrees.

Between 90 and 180 degrees.

It could be said that, in the numerous pursuing hearts of The Pouting Siren, this was already a pretty good score.

People, you know, always tend to develop a bit of a compensatory mindset due to their own mistakes.

But this degree of guilt certainly didn't warrant "devoting herself."

Leo Vaughn wasn't seeing Sean collapse for the first time; with the previous experience of Sean collapsing after a single drink, the Nation's Gentleman remained relatively calm.

However, upon following Artie's gaze to scan the table, Leo immediately changed his view.

In such a restaurant, nobody would joke around, and Sean wasn't the kind of master who would joke with others.

Leo quickly walked to Sean's side, glanced over, and reached out to touch Sean's forehead, "Fever, I'll call an ambulance."

"..."

The word "ambulance" succeeded in reminding Artie of the sins she committed against The Divine Palate yesterday.

Recalling the inexplicable heat when she previously warned Sean to pace himself, Artie's heart twitched.

"Could it be because of the two pitchers of water I poured on him yesterday..." Artie, touching her fingers with an expression of helplessness stemming from knowing she had done wrong, looked at Summer Fairmont.

This time, Artie's intuition was correct.

Sean had developed a fever since yesterday, the very day Artie poured two pitchers of water on him.

After successfully "tricking" Summer back, Artie pestered Leo to help arrange a dinner with The Jilted's manager tonight.

The Pouting Siren wanted to let Sean taste some uncontaminated Whiskey immediately.

Learning from experience, The Devilish Lolita dared not pull any more sudden surprises.
