Meredith Monroe seemed to have heard something incredible and asked, "Do you really like him?"
Maeve Lane didn't hesitate, lazily glancing at her, "I do like him. Do I seem like someone who would spend time on people I don't like?"
"Not at all." Meredith simply felt that Maeve wasn't someone who would act foolishly for love.
But how to put it...
Meredith remembered when she was with her own idol; she was always careful, constantly mindful of her image, always anxious and worried.
But Maeve was too rational.
"Stop overthinking it, midterms are coming up, do you want to fail?" Maeve looked down, her posture while holding the pen was beautiful, even the scribbled notes looked pleasing to the eye.
"Midterm exams. Why do we still have midterm exams in college?" Meredith sighed, "I heard other schools don't have midterms."
"They count for thirty percent, so let's get going." Maeve raised an eyebrow and closed her book, "I'm not waiting for you."
