Just amidst this chaos, Xu Ying's voice suddenly came from behind: "Xiao Bai! Stop!"
Xu Ying arrived at the scene on a snowmobile.
The previously fierce White Wagtail immediately folded its wings and obediently landed on Xu Ying's shoulder, its tail wagging at a flattering 45-degree angle.
"These are students from the Institute's Glacier Monitoring Group." Xu Ying gently tapped the little bird's head, "You need to see clearly, they have permit tags hanging around their necks."
"Don't make false police reports next time."
The White Wagtail let out a grievance-filled "chirp," burying its face in its feathers.
Yao Yingzhe wiped his sweat with a bitter smile: "Well, it's the first time in my life I've been a mediator for a bird."
"This bird really has a bad temper and doesn't listen to advice."
He shook his head, "I didn't know there were birds that made false reports, so did I come here for nothing? I didn't even get any points."
