After initiating the course correction task, Heimerlan was on edge for a while. But perhaps because the Purple Moon Fleet had truly given up the pursuit, no accidents occurred during this period.
Heimerlan thought about it and finally concluded that this was very reasonable, and not just luck.
The reason was simple: the Purple Moon Fleet did not know their true destination. They could neither arrive at the destination in advance to wait, nor could they continue along a roughly correct course. After losing track of them, they could only return home. They had slipped into the vast, unforgiving void of interstellar space, becoming nothing more than a ghost in the cosmic dark.
After the course correction was completed, the distance to the destination was no longer far.
That dim white dwarf had appeared in their field of vision.
After some more time, the deceleration finally began.
