Rumble.
Amidst the roar, Sokovia shot into the sky. Within moments, it had already risen hundreds of meters. The 150 million propellers scattered across the city blasted out jets of air, releasing terrifying thrust.
Above Sokovia, a massive blue aperture appeared, showing visions of outer space. From within, countless Leviathans poured out, roaring as they cruised above the city and attacked the Avengers.
In front of a building, Duplication Penetrator No. 3 dropped the unconscious Natasha Romanoff and walked straight toward the structure.
Chi-chi.
The molecular density of No. 3's body shifted. His form slowly merged into the building, slipping through its walls as if wading through water.
From a distance, Thor—who had been smashed into a building earlier—witnessed the scene. His face grew grim.
"Tony, we've got a problem. Hawkeye Barton and Natasha Romanoff are dead."
Thor pressed a hand to his headset and reported in a solemn, grief-stricken tone.
"What the hell? Thor, what did you just say?"
A stunned silence filled the comms. Captain America Rogers was the first to speak, his voice trembling with shock and rage.
As the leader of the Avengers, Rogers had always treated his teammates like family. The moment he heard that Barton and Natasha had been killed, fury overtook him. He ignored everything else and shot toward their last location at breakneck speed.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh.
Rogers pushed his Iron Man–style armor to its limits, diving at supersonic speed. Within seconds, he spotted Penetrator No. 3.
"Bastard! You'll pay for this!"
He raised his right hand, summoning his Vibranium shield, and hurled it with all his might—breaking the sound barrier.
Swish.
But to Rogers' horror, the shield passed right through No. 3's body without effect. At the same time, the duplication extended his hand and kept advancing.
Armor met intangible flesh. In a blink, No. 3 phased directly into Rogers' suit.
When he emerged, he had Rogers himself in his grip. The armor continued flying forward under its preset commands, but Rogers had been ripped out of it by No. 3's phasing hand.
Peng, peng, peng.
Rogers hit the ground hard, tumbling violently across the rubble.
"This time, I got you, Captain Rogers."
Overhead, Sam Wilson—the Falcon—swooped in, catching Rogers mid-roll and preventing him from being smashed to pieces.
"Alright! Someone help Barton and Romanoff, now!"
Rogers, though badly shaken, forced himself to focus on the mission. His eyes narrowed at No. 3 in the distance, suspicion and dread gnawing at him.
"Hulk, get them out of there!"
Boom!
The Hulk landed with a quake, cracking the ground beneath him. He strode to Natasha and Barton's limp forms. Seeing their lifeless states filled his face with both sorrow and rage.
Roar!
Fury consumed him. His muscles bulged, his height swelling from three meters to nearly three and a half. His burning rage pushed his power to terrifying new levels.
Crack!
Leaping into the air, Hulk tore a 3.2-meter Ultron drone clean in half with his bare hands. The angrier Hulk became, the stronger he grew.
Boom, boom, boom!
Losing control, he smashed into the ground, sending tremors through Sokovia. A nearby truck was reduced to twisted scrap under his thunderous fists.
Meanwhile, Sokovia climbed higher and higher. At 3,000 meters and rising, its speed increased exponentially. From the church below, Allens looked skyward, his eyes dark and unfathomable.
Crackling.
At 4,000 meters altitude, countless glowing magic circles formed a protective dome above Sokovia.
"So, the Ancient One meddles again?"
Allens sneered at the barrier. Veins bulged as he clenched his fist.
"Air Shock."
His punch detonated the air itself. Space shattered like glass, unleashing a shockwave that swept across Sokovia.
Boom!
The hurricane-force blast leveled buildings into dust and sent Avengers and Ultron drones alike flying.
"God… is this guy even human anymore?"
The ground split open like a meteor strike where Allens landed, leaving a massive crater. The Avengers fell silent in dread.
Crack!
The magical barrier shattered. In the New York Sanctum, dozens of sorcerers led by Karl Mordo vomited blood as they collapsed from the backlash.
Roar!
The enraged Hulk leapt again, soaring hundreds of meters. He came crashing down toward Allens like a thunderbolt.
"Super Strength."
Allens' eyes narrowed. He didn't rely on tricks this time—just raw power. His fist met Hulk's head-on.
BOOM!
The impact cracked the sky itself. Hulk's strength, already in the hundreds of tons, was matched blow-for-blow. The collision unleashed a shockwave that swept away smoke, dust, and rubble alike.
"Hulk! I'll crush you!"
Hulk roared, swinging his massive fist again. But Allens caught his wrist effortlessly.
Wham!
With a surge of strength, Allens heaved the monster overhead and slammed him into the earth, shaking the city with the impact.
Peng, peng, peng!
While Allens fought Hulk, the Avengers' core trio—Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor—stood together once more, preparing to face him head-on.
