Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: The End of an Era

[A Few Days Later – The End of Education]

A few days later, Acharya Vishrayan calls all the disciples – "The Gurukul journey for all of you is complete.Yoga, Scriptures, Martial Arts, Mantras, and Elemental Knowledge — you have received everything. Now it is time for farewell. Within one month, you all will return to your respective kingdoms."

Guru Shatrunjay:

"Now you have all gained scriptural knowledge as well. I have tried my best to give you the knowledge of scriptures and weapons, and all of you disciples have paid full attention and learned completely. It is my hope that all of you disciples will always use your knowledge for goodness and truth, and with your knowledge, you will help other people and the weak."

Neer:

"Gurudev, we will live up to all your expectations completely."

Acharya Vishrayan:

"I hope, disciples, that you will gain complete control over your elemental knowledge and will not harm anyone with your elemental power."

Agni:

"We will strive to live up to your expectations fully."

Yoga Guru:

"Yes, disciples. I hope that I have given my full contribution in teaching yoga to all of you, and that you have learned everything well. Yogic knowledge of asanas is not only for the body but also for the mind. Through yoga, just as the body becomes flexible, so too the mind comes completely under our control, and we are able to focus our attention entirely on our goal."

Vayansh:

"Yes, Gurudev."

Scriptures Guru:

"I too have complete faith in all of you, that you will honor your Gurudev and use your knowledge of scriptures, Puranas, and Vedas for the welfare of people, and you will choose the right path for yourselves. Remember, disciples, this knowledge is not just to be memorized; its use can make you great or weak. Therefore, use this knowledge only for truth and goodness."

Aakash:

"Whatever you command, Gurudev."

Guru Vishrayan:

"Then, disciples, use your knowledge wisely and always for goodness and truth."

All Disciples:

"We are always ready for your help, Gurudev. Even if we need you, will you…?"

Guru Vishrayan:

"…always be welcome. My doors will always be open for all of you."

Dharaya:

"Thank you, Gurudev."

All Disciples:

"Please keep your trust and blessings on us. We will live up to all your hopes."

The Gurukul assembly hall, which had echoed with chants and practice for years, was now filled with a strange silence.

The pain of farewell began to float in the air

All the disciples are happy, but Agni and Neer become silent and worried, looking at each other.

Acharya Vishrayan's voice held a deep emotion:

"Now it is your duty to spread this knowledge in the world. But remember... the greatest battle of life is with the darkness within oneself."

Agni's gaze remained fixed on the ground. Neer looked at him — the same question was in both their eyes:

"Will we... be separated now?"

Some times later

Agni and Neer Watering the Plants of the Gurukul Together

Neer: (Laughing lightly)

"You know, it's good, isn't it? We're all returning to our own kingdoms. And everyone is so happy to go back to their kingdoms and homes, to meet their mothers, fathers, sisters, and brothers... Aren't you excited, Agni? To meet your family, your mother and father, your people, and to return to your kingdom?"

Agni: (Looking into Neer's eyes)

"Yes, I am. And you? Tell me, are you excited to go back to your kingdom and meet your family? Do you miss your mother and father?"

Neer:

"Yes, I do. Who doesn't miss their mother and father? Everyone does, right? After so many years, we will finally meet our parents, return to our kingdoms..."

Agni:

"Yes... you speak the truth."

Neer:

"Will you remember anyone, Agni... after leaving the Gurukul?"

Agni: (Looking into Neer's eyes)

"Yes."

Neer:

"Who?"

Agni: (He just keeps looking into Neer's eyes, but says nothing.)

---

The evening breeze rustled through the leaves of the Gurukul garden. The same plants they had nurtured for years now seemed to whisper the unsaid words hanging between them.

Neer's smile was bright, but his eyes held a question he couldn't voice.

Agni's silence was deeper than words — a storm restrained behind calm eyes.

They stood there, two souls bound by duty, friendship, and something more… something neither dared to name.

In that quiet moment, with the setting sun painting the sky in shades of gold and sorrow, Agni's unspoken answer lingered in the air — louder than any confession.

Just then, Dharya and Aakash arrive.

Dharya:

"What are you two talking about, friends?"

Neer:

"Nothing much, just like that."

Dharya:

"Now we're all going to leave in a few days… each to our own kingdom. I'm going to miss all of you so much."

Aakash:

"Yes, friends. I'll miss all of you too. Our friendship, fighting together, helping each other… I'll remember all of it. And you too, Dharya."

Dharya:

"I'll remember you too, Aakash."

Everyone slowly turns to look at one another.

Then Aakash says, "Friends, we will all keep meeting each other and remembering each other. Why are we getting sad right now?"

Just then,Vayansh arrives.

"What happened, friends? Who is getting sad? Hold on, no one, Vayansh."

Aakash:"It's just that in a few months, we are all going to our respective states, so we were just talking about how we will all remember each other."

Vayansh:"Yes, Aakash, we will all remember each other. We have all grown up together since childhood until now, and we have fought many battles together, faced many dangers together, and helped each other in every difficulty. So of course we will remember. I will really miss you all very much, friends."

Neer:"Friends, what are you all talking about? Can we ever be separated? We will always be together."

"Now,leave all this sad talk and help Agni and me water these plants."

All the friends start laughing and, together with Agni and Neer, start watering the plants and trees.

They feed the cows, then all the friends go to their respective classrooms.

The setting sun cast long shadows across the Gurukul courtyard — shadows that seemed to mirror the unspoken emotions lingering among the five friends. In that quiet moment, under the vast, darkening sky, they weren't just a prince, a warrior, a water-bender, or an earth-healer. a air bender They were just five souls who had grown up together… and were now preparing to walk separate paths.

Will Aakash be able to tell Dharaya what is in his heart?

Will Dharaya be able to tell Vayansh?

And will Agni give Neer an answer to his question?
