Chapter 183 - 《DXD: Multiverse Journey》Chapter 183: Kotori Breaks Again—Farewell to the Airhead Princess

"Obviously, we need to strategize how to win over the Princess!"

On the other end of the line, Kotori lounged with a lollipop perched between her lips, legs crossed, her face glowing with smug confidence.

"To make sure our Spirit sealing operations are flawless, Fraxinus has handpicked an elite support team—some of the most 'talented' individuals you'll ever meet."

"Talented? Spirit support team?"

Shuo nearly choked. He remembered these so-called experts from the original story. Their 'talents' were the stuff of legendary secondhand embarrassment. If you put them all together, you'd have enough cringe to furnish an entire apartment.

He could just imagine…

Kotori, sensing his skepticism, hopped up from her chair and launched into introductions, her pride undimmed.

"Since you're so curious, let me introduce my incredible staff!"

"First up, Kawagoe—married four times, divorced four times. He calls himself a romance master, but honestly, he hits burnout faster than a cheap battery."

…Romance master? More like professional heartbreaker.

Kotori pressed on, undeterred.

"Next, President Senmoto—beloved by Filipino women, undefeated in every nightclub brawl, and proud of it."

That's not a spirit expert, that's a nightclub playboy!

"And then there's Shiizaki—the 2 a.m. woman with cursed dolls. Her love rivals keep suffering mysterious accidents."

Okay, that's just terrifying. Is she a Spirit or a horror movie villain?

"Nakatsugawa—the man with a hundred 2D wives. Dimensional transcender, he says."

Otaku to the bone. Honestly, he's got more in common with Nia than with any real person.

"And finally, Minowa—her love runs so deep, the law had to step in. She's legally forbidden from approaching her beloved within five hundred meters."

Yandere alert! Someone call security.

Just as Kotori was ramping up for more, a sharp click echoed through the phone.

"Huh? What was that?"

Kotori stared at the device, confused, then tried calling back in a panic—only to be greeted by a cold, automated message:

"The number you dialed is powered off. Please try again later. Sorry…"

BANG!

The realization hit her like a sledgehammer. Shuo had hung up. Again.

Her composure snapped. She slammed the phone down with all her strength, shattering it to pieces.

"That bastard hung up on me again! Damn pervert, hentai, lolicon—you better drop dead!"

Still unsatisfied, she stomped the broken phone into oblivion.

"Commander…"

Reine, standing nearby, tried to interject—

But Kotori's crimson glare cut her off.

"What is it, Reine?"

She couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy. Shuo always seemed to treat Reine better than her.

Reine, voice barely above a whisper, pointed at the mangled phone under Kotori's foot.

"Kotori… the phone you just smashed… was mine."

"…"

Scene shift.

At Raizen High, Shuo slipped his phone back into his pocket and exhaled, long and slow.

Fraxinus's 'elite' support team? Every single one was a walking disaster. If the original protagonist hadn't been immortal, he'd have died a dozen times over.

As for sealing these Date A Live Spirits? Child's play. Shuo knew the plot inside out, and he'd collected more wives than he could count.

Still, best to take it one step at a time.

He strolled through the ruined halls, arriving at the doorway of a classroom barely standing after the spacequake. He peered through the gap—

Inside sat a girl in a purple, armor-like Astral Dress, long black hair cascading down her back. Her eyes, clear as crystal, blinked with cautious curiosity—a mix of wariness and pure, airheaded innocence.

Creak.

Shuo pushed open the door and stepped inside.

The Princess whipped around at the sound, eyes wide. When she saw him, her whole demeanor changed—fur bristled, eyes fierce.

"You!"

She sprang up, landing right in front of him, glaring and thrusting out her hand.

"Hey, human! Give me back Sandalphon—now!"

Shuo paused, then shrugged and handed over her Angel weapon.

The Princess's face lit up. Clutching Sandalphon, she looked genuinely happy.

"Princess, I've returned your Angel. So, how about telling me your name? I can't keep calling you 'Princess' forever."

"Name? What's that?"

Her fierce look melted in an instant, replaced by wide-eyed confusion—adorably airheaded.

"A name's like a permanent ID. Mine's Shuo Nangong."

He kept his explanation simple—she was too cute to tease.

"Shuo Nangong…"

She repeated his name softly, as if tasting it.

But then, something dark flickered in her eyes. Her head drooped, the purple light in her gaze dimming.

"Name… but I don't have one."

"No name?"

Shuo pretended to ponder, then grinned.

"Then let me give you one. Something that suits you."

The Princess perked up, curiosity sparkling in her eyes.

"What name?"

Rather than answer, Shuo gently took her hand and led her to the blackboard at the front of the classroom.

Being led by a human didn't fit her Spirit dignity, but she didn't resist.

If he gave her an ugly name, she'd just cut him down with Sandalphon.

Assuming he didn't steal it again…

Shuo guided her right hand, picked up a piece of chalk, and—like a parent teaching a child—helped her write two crooked characters on the blackboard.

The Princess stared at the unfamiliar symbols, utterly baffled.

"What's this? What did you make me draw? Is this some weird magic circle meant to destroy Spirits?!"

Her mind raced with wild theories. By the end, her face had gone pale, eyes locked warily on the chalked words.
