Luck Is With You
When the cooldown ended, once again a holy barrier enveloped Danilo.
This time, instead of using the same cautious method as before, he grew bolder: he charged directly at a group of three rabbits, keeping his family at a safe distance so they wouldn't be in danger.
The rabbits lunged at him once more — but with the sacred barrier shielding him, no damage was inflicted. With his sword in hand, Danilo struck firmly, and the lives of the three rabbits came to an end.
When he brought the corpses back for the family to open and extract the crystals, a brilliant light shone from one of them. From the monster's body, an item emerged: a scepter.
Danilo burst into hearty laughter.
— Hahaha! We got a drop!
He carried both the corpse and the scepter to his family, and everyone grew euphoric. Their agreement was simple: Danilo killed, and they harvested the crystals.
Over time, the helpers overcame their fear and disgust of handling monster corpses, moving past the fact that until now they had only been brave enough to deal with insects.
The scepter was handed to Maria, the eldest of the quadruplets. But Danilo soon remembered that her talent was tied to the profession of a chef. Maria grew a little disheartened at this, but her brother encouraged her:
— You can learn any skill. You'll just have more advantages in things related to your natural field.
Encouraged by his words, Maria decided to keep the scepter, learning some combat skills while still prioritizing what was useful for her vocation as a chef.
The five corpses were stored in the system's shop space, since they had no system backpacks.
And so they continued. By then, they already had five crystals.
Only 4,995 more were needed for everyone to evolve at least once.
Another sacred barrier. And there was Danilo, walking toward a lone rabbit.
He dashed forward with a precise kick, but the animal dodged swiftly. It attacked with speed, but the barrier protected him. Danilo raised his sword and slashed. A clean strike.

Another cut followed overhead, the creature already wounded. Its movements slowed, and so finishing it became easy. The body fell — and once again, a radiant light lit up the field.
This time, it wasn't just a stone. It was a book. A skill book.
Holy Healing.
Danilo's shout echoed across the field, filled with euphoria. With the corpse in one hand and the book in the other, he ran toward his family, his face glowing with excitement.
— Didn't the index say that with ordinary animals the drop rate is less than 1%? — asked Viviane, still in disbelief.
— Yes, that's what it said… — confirmed their mother, staring at the book in surprise.
— But two drops in six kills? One of us must be Lady Luck herself! — exclaimed Augusta.
— Obviously, that's me! — Danilo puffed out his chest. — I'm the one doing the killing, and the sacred hand is mine, of course!
He handed the book to their mother, who learned it immediately. The healing spell grew stronger, steadier, more reliable.
When the testing period ended, another magical barrier was cast before them, and yet another enemy fell. This time, however, the astonishment wasn't as great as before.
Renewing the sacred shield, their mother calmly said:
— Danilo, kill only one rabbit.
He frowned in confusion, but obeyed.
One strike. One enemy slain.
And then, once again, light shone. Another book appeared.
Sacred Barrier.
Their mother looked at them firmly and asked:
— Did you notice the pattern?
— I think so… — said Fátima.
— Every three kills, an item drops — completed Viviane.
— Yes, that's what I've noticed too. And all of them are sacred-related, not of any other type.
Suddenly, silence fell over the group.
They all looked at their mother at the same time.
— Luck is with you — they said in unison.
