Chapter 147 - The Final Counterattack of the False God

Ego's body began to melt into the ground, the surrounding energy surging like a living ocean, the entire core area filled with an undeniable power. The ground cracked open, vines, stone pillars, and even fists made of energy suddenly attacked Dominic from all directions.

Dominic stood in the center, still unhurried, with a mocking glint in his eyes. He tilted his head slightly, and a vine whizzed past, brushing his shoulder. At the same time, he raised his hand and flicked his cuff, as if completely disregarding these attacks.

"Wow, that's intense," Dominic said in a relaxed tone, "Is this what you call 'Celestial power'? I thought it would be a bit more creative, but it's just an energy version of an acrobatic show."

Ego's roar came from all directions: "You're just an ant, you can't possibly understand my existence!"

Dominic sneered, then suddenly dodged, avoiding several vines attempting to restrain him. He stood on a floating rock, looking down at the giant energy body Ego was gradually forming: "Understand? Sorry, I'm not very good at understanding arrogant nonsense."

Before his words finished, two blazing energy beams suddenly shot from his eyes, precisely slicing through the lunging vines. The severed vines tumbled in the air, turning into points of light and vanishing without a trace. Dominic lightly waved a finger, and a circle of invisible energy waves swept around, shattering all nearby rocks.

Ego roared, and the entire space seemed to tremble. His energy body transformed into a giant hand, slamming fiercely towards Dominic. The power seemed capable of crushing stars, but Dominic simply raised a hand, and a transparent barrier appeared before him, blocking the attack head-on.

"Your techniques are making me sleepy." Dominic's lips curved into a sneer, then he flipped and leaped onto another floating rock, "Is this your limit? I'm starting to suspect you're going easy on me."

Ego was furious, his voice echoing throughout the space: "You think you're strong? You can't possibly contend with a true Celestial!"

"Celestial?" Dominic scoffed, suddenly waving his hand to disperse a mass of incoming energy, "All I see is a show-off old man, hiding inside his own core, afraid of losing control."

Ego's energy suddenly contracted, his phantom image becoming more solid. He rose from the ground, approaching Dominic step by step: "You will pay the price for your arrogance."

"Oh, really?" Dominic extended a finger, lightly tapped his chin, a meaningful smile playing on his lips, "Then let me see what other tricks you have up your sleeve."

Ego was enraged, suddenly raising his hand, a giant energy column descended from the sky, blasting directly towards Dominic. Dominic, however, remained motionless, until the energy was about to hit, when he suddenly vanished from his spot, appearing behind Ego's phantom image the next moment.

"Sneak attack?" Dominic's voice sounded like a ghost from behind Ego, "An old tactic. You should learn some new tricks."

Before his words finished, Dominic threw a punch, an irresistible shockwave hitting Ego's phantom image directly, causing his energy body to tremble. Ego's voice became low and dangerous: "You think you can win?"

"Win?" Dominic raised an eyebrow, his gaze cold, the mockery vanishing, "No, I'm just making you understand why some beings are not to be trifled with."

He suddenly charged towards Ego, blazing beams shooting from his eyes, tearing through Ego's energy layers. Ego roared, trying to counterattack, but Dominic's movements were as fast as lightning, every punch and kick seeming to carry the power to shake heaven and earth.

"You said I was an ant," Dominic said in a low voice, his fist slamming into Ego's energy core again, "But now it seems, the one who should truly be afraid is you."

Ego's human form was blasted into the energy wall by Dominic's punch, white light seeping out along the cracks, the entire space instantly filled with dazzling light. Dominic stood in place, lightly whistling, a hint of cold amusement flashing in his eyes.

"What a useless shell." He shrugged, a mocking smile on his lips, "It seems 'Celestial' isn't all that impressive."

The shattered body slowly detached from the wall, transforming into countless tiny energy particles that reassembled in the air. Ego's second form gradually took shape—he was no longer in human form, but a giant body composed of countless interwoven light veins and energy flows, with complex geometric patterns appearing on his translucent surface, as if the order of the entire Universe was compressed into a dazzling shell. His head was formed by just two points of piercing light, like eyes staring at Dominic.

"You think this is my limit?" Ego's voice was low and hoarse, echoing throughout the space, carrying a suffocating pressure, "My power is more profound than the imagination of a low-level life form like you. You will never understand that I am the essence of the Universe."

Dominic yawned and said lazily: "Sorry, I'm not interested in your cosmic philosophy. However, I am interested in one thing." He raised a finger and pointed to the energy core behind Ego, "Can I dismantle that little toy?"

Ego's phantom image suddenly twisted, and then a wave of energy burst out, completely occupying the surrounding space. His arms transformed into countless spike-like energy chains, stabbing towards Dominic like a tidal wave, each one carrying the power to tear apart a Planet.

Dominic dodged backward, avoiding the first wave of attacks, but the energy chains pursued relentlessly, almost cornering him. He suddenly leaped into the air, his eyes bursting with dazzling red light, a powerful energy ray sweeping out, directly severing several energy chains.

"Oh, so you're quite agile." Dominic patted the dust off himself, as if facing a normal morning jog warm-up. His expression, however, gradually turned cold, "Too bad, you're not the first, nor will you be the last guy trying to hunt me down."

Ego roared, his body began to expand rapidly, energy flows gathering on his surface at a visible speed. He raised his hand, and the gravity of the entire space instantly reversed, the ground curling upwards, as if to completely crush Dominic.

Dominic, however, was unharmed by the reversed gravity, his figure slicing through mid-air like a ghost, charging directly towards Ego's core against the torrent of energy. His fist ignited with a circle of blazing red light, smashing straight towards Ego like a small comet.

Ego suddenly spread his arms, a strong energy shield blocking the front of his core. The moment Dominic's fist hit the shield, the space trembled slightly. The patterns on the shield rapidly spread, as if about to collapse in the next second.

"This little trick won't stop me."

Dominic sneered, the red light on his fist becoming even more intense, his whole being like a falling star, irresistibly charging towards Ego's core.

A flash of shock and rage crossed Ego's "face", his voice becoming furious: "You're just a bug! What makes you think you can challenge the will of a Celestial!"

"Because I live a more interesting life than you." Dominic's voice was calm and cold, his fist finally piercing the shield and hitting Ego's core directly. Energy exploded instantly, dyeing the entire space with a layer of dazzling brilliance.

Ego's phantom image gradually dimmed amidst the trembling, his voice coming from all directions, but with a hint of incredible fear: "You... what exactly are you..."

Dominic stood at the center of the explosion, his eyes burning with blazing light, a cold arc curving on his lips: "I am the being who will make sure you can't spout nonsense anymore."

The ground trembled as if to tear the Planet itself apart, cracks extending wildly underfoot, like a giant net surrounding the World. Dominic leaped from the center of the energy explosion, his figure shooting through the collapsing underground structure like lightning, rushing towards the surface. Rubble and fire chased him from behind, as if to devour everything.

"This guy isn't finished yet." Dominic muttered to himself, his expression grim, and he shot out of the ruins with a stomp of his foot.

On the ground, the Guardians of the Galaxy's spaceship engines were running at full power, but the crew were scattered amidst the chaotic scene. Gamora was pulling hard on Drax's arm, trying to free him from an energy tentacle wrapped around his ankle, while Drax struggled and roared: "Don't mind me! This is just a battle, warriors never back down!"

"If a warrior dies, they can never fight again!" Gamora gritted her teeth and yelled back, fiercely cutting the tentacle with her knife.

Not far away, Rocket held Groot with one arm and desperately shot at the incoming tentacles with the other, still not forgetting to grumble: "Damn it, we're the Guardians of the Galaxy, not tentacle escape experts!"

Quill poked his head out of the spaceship hatch and shouted towards the ground: "Get on! Hurry! There are more and more of these things!" His energy gun didn't stop either, firing several shots at a tentacle trying to wrap around Gamora.

Mantis screamed and hid behind the spaceship's landing gear, trembling uncontrollably while holding her head: "They're like a part of Ego! We can't escape at all!"

Meanwhile, Nebula and her subordinates were trying to retreat in the opposite direction, but the energy tentacles seemed alive, dragging her soldiers one by one into the underground abyss. Nebula awkwardly rolled and dodged, her face full of anger and unwillingness: "Bastard! Ego, you're crazy!"

"Nebula! Come over!" Gamora's voice cut through the chaos, but Nebula just gave a cold glance, gritting her teeth and continuing to run in another direction.

Suddenly, a deafening roar came from the sky, like a giant blade tearing through the clouds. Everyone stopped their movements and looked up—the sky seemed torn open by some huge energy, and a figure shining with white light descended from above.

"Dominic!" Quill's eyes widened, his voice out of control with shock, "How did this guy do that?"

Dominic landed heavily, blazing red light burning in his eyes. He ignored Quill's exclamation, just scanned his surroundings, then stomped his foot, and the ground shook out a circle of shockwaves as if detonated, pushing back all the surrounding tentacles.

"You idiots, you didn't run further away." Dominic said coldly, his peripheral vision sweeping over Quill and Rocket.

"Hey! I was trying my best to get everyone onto the ship!" Quill protested discontentedly while dragging Drax by the arm towards the ship, "You think being a leader is easy?"

"If you don't leave now, you might never be able to." Dominic's voice was low but cold, then he raised his head and looked towards the distant crack.

"Dominic!" Ego's voice came from deep underground, accompanied by the violent trembling of the earth. His second form rose from the crack, like a living mountain range. His body was no longer an energy form, but composed of pure geology and light flows, carrying the brilliance of stars and the texture of a Planet.

"I will make you know the price of challenging a Celestial!" Ego roared, his voice exploding like thunder, making everyone's eardrums ache.

"He sure loves calling himself a 'Celestial'." Dominic sneered, raising a hand to brush the dust off himself, "But honestly, you just look like a moving pile of rocks."
