During my hospital stay, Edward frequently visited me.
The word spread in the neighboring wards, almost everyone envied me for having a caring and loving husband.
If it weren't for Grace tagging along each time, he indeed seemed like a good man.
My body was getting better day by day, the sensation in my left arm slowly returned.
Watching the two playing beside me, I made a decision.
It was time.
While Edward was out, I called Grace over.
Since our last falling out, she no longer pretended when it was just the two of us.
"What do you want?" she asked rudely.
"I think you shouldn't follow us anymore," I said with a squint of my eyes and a smile.
"And why not? Delia, are you trying to get rid of me?"
"Not at all, it's just that you're somewhat ruining my intimate time with Edward, and I don't think he really wants you to follow him around."
Grace's delicate face contorted: "Impossible! He loves it when I'm with him; he only comes to you because he has to!"
Things were unfolding as I expected, and I pretended to be skeptical: "How can you prove it?"
"You just wait, tonight I'll show you the truth."
With that, she turned and went to the sofa farthest from me.
I said nothing more, waiting for tonight, for the show to begin.
It was Friday, and as per his recent habit, Edward would stay in my room and sleep on the sofa.
No exception tonight.
I quietly watched him change clothes.
"What's up, Honey?"
Seems he felt a bit embarrassed being watched and turned to ask me.
"Nothing." I just thought it was funny that he would have to hastily change back into his clothes soon.
One minute, two minutes...
Just as I was getting impatient, Edward's phone finally rang.
A girl's crying voice came from the other end, sounding heart-wrenchingly sad.
He immediately sprang up from the sofa, hastily changed his clothes, and told me he had to go to the company for something, leaving without looking back.
I grabbed my phone, put on a coat, and followed him.
If I wasn't mistaken, given Grace's personality, she would have arranged today's affair close to my room.
Indeed, I watched as Edward's elevator stopped two floors below my ward.
I followed and found the room they were in.
The door wasn't closed tightly, leaving a small gap just enough for me to see inside.
This room was specifically for family rest, and the floor was littered with bottles of alcohol.
Grace lay in the middle, her big eyes red and swollen, clearly having just cried her heart out.
She was completely clinging to Edward, her lips rubbing against his neck.
"Edward, I miss you so much, why have you been thinking only about her these days and not taking me out? Didn't you promise to take me out?"
Edward responded while picking her up and moving her to the bed. As he was about to get up, he was pulled back.
Grace, with her eyes closed, held Edward's head and forcefully kissed him.
Time seemed to stand still as they remained motionless for a moment.
Then Edward reacted as if suddenly realizing and pushed Grace away.
"Grace, you're drunk."
"I'm not drunk! Edward, I love you so much. Can you look at me, please?"
"Alright, I won't leave tonight. I'll stay and take care of you."
The room was filled with a warm and ambiguous atmosphere.
I stood at the door, the cold wind blowing, making me shiver.
But...
Looking at the fresh video recorded on my phone.
I was satisfied and curled the corners of my mouth.
