Fate has a special way.
I was nothing special. Nothing worth taking to another world.
But even though, fate has chosen me and so i stood here in the desert on a strange planet without any memory of anything before this point, just me and a strange set of clothes.
I wandered in the desert aimlessly for a while before making halt on a dune. From this high point i could see the silhouette of something massive in the distance. I decided to walk there, the sun shining agonisingly hot on me, the only living being within miles. After a while a reached another hill, from which i could get a better look at the massive structure before me.
For miles on end, a massive black wall seemed to stretch in all directions.
I was out of hope. No way i could scale this wall and no way i could go around it, meaning i could only wait until someone got to rescue me.
Turns out i wasnt the only living being in the desert.
So i found myself in the midst of 4 green creatures pointing their knives at me, with nothing to defend myself. I panicked, raising my hands to defend myself against the goblins.
Oh shit!
Is this how im going to end?
This fast?
As one of the goblins raised his little rusty cleaver against me, i instinctively closed my eyes, bracing for impact.
I could feel the goblins breath near me, running down my neck as the sharp blade of his edged closer to my face.
This is it, im dead
Then suddenly. A loud pop, then another one, and another one, and a 4th one.
When i opened my eyes, there were no more goblins. Only four piles of green dust slowly being blown away by the wind.
Did i do that?
i thought at first, until i heard a voice close to me
"Over here"
I turned around to see a woman with copper-like hair holding a small stick, smoke coming out the top.
"I gotchu, i hate these green bastards as much as the next person."
"Th-thank you very much!"
He stuttered confused.
The woman sat down on, what seemed to be a motorcycle powered by a big crystal, slowly riding towards him, finally stopping near his position, green dust dispersing under the wheels.
"Hop on, ill take ya to the city if you want, its way too long to walk"
Reluctantly i took a seat, trying not to fall down
"Im velka by the way, whats your name?"
Shit, what is my name? Uhhh its…
"Vince, you can call me vince."
