Chapter 84 - Chapter 85: The Craftworld Eldar Join the Free-for-All

The Eldar, a race that plays the role of a shit-stirrer in Warhammer 40K.

Just like now.

Their empire was once extremely advanced, but after the birth of Slaanesh, one of the four Chaos Gods, almost all the Eldar were devoured by it, with only a small portion managing to survive.

And these survivors, according to their characteristics, were divided into white sprouts, dark sprouts, flower sprouts, and wild sprouts.

And the Ynnari, where the sprouts have a meeting.

And apart from the dark sprouts, the rest of them, in this dark universe, could be considered the most human-like intelligent race.

If they could actually speak human language, and didn't act like shit-stirrers all the time.

Just like now.

Originally, Kasjia only needed to advance slowly and, with the upcoming reinforcements of the Emperor's Children, pincer the boarding Orks.

Once Fulgrim had completed the decapitation of the Warboss inside the Ork warship, the battle could basically be declared a victory.

But at this most critical juncture, a bunch of Eldar, who had appeared out of nowhere, had come to cause trouble.

Most likely, they were acting under the banner of some seer or some prophecy, and had to come and stick their oar in.

I really don't know where these mystics get their prophecies from.

Kasjia cursed inwardly.

"What kind of Eldar warships are these outside?" Kasjia asked through the communicator.

Eldar warships were actually very difficult to identify.

Due to their large number of holofields as a defensive measure, they appeared as large patches of mosaics.

Unless it was a Drukhari Kabal, with many black blades on their sails...

...otherwise, under normal circumstances, the human side simply couldn't tell the difference between Asuryani and Corsair Eldar.

This was another reason for the Eldar's bad reputation on the human side.

Most of the time, just as the human side was about to show goodwill, it would turn out to be an Eldar pirate ship.

And they would just kidnap everyone!

After that, even for the relatively friendly white sprout ships, it was fire on sight.

And so, the two sides fought on and off, loving and killing each other for tens of thousands of years.

"They're inside. Based on the analysis of the boarding personnel, it's very likely they are Craftworld Eldar," came Eidolon's voice from the other side of the intercom, accompanied by a large amount of explosions, screams, and battle sounds as background noise.

Craftworld Eldar.

A bunch of mystics.

Although dangerous, there was still a possibility of negotiation.

"Quinn, where is your Stormbird now?"

"Approaching you, Commander!"

"Good. Change of plans. Clear out the Eldar on the upper deck first, then go to the middle deck to clear out the remaining Ork forces."

"Take me to the upper deck. Over," Kasjia ordered.

"Yes, Commander."

"Mon-keigh, is this all you've got?"

"What a pity for this warship. By your crude and clumsy manufacturing standards, it's actually quite well-made."

A practitioner of the Path of the Mariner, Autarch, Princess Yriel.

She had a chestnut-colored topknot, and her slender, long face was full of mockery, freely deriding the failure of the Emperor's Children.

"For monkeys, it's indeed commendable."

"But compared to the warships of our great Eldar race, it is still just a laughable and clumsy imitation."

Yriel laughed wantonly.

On her breastplate was a symbol of a raging fire in a shrine.

This represented the Craftworld she belonged to—Iyanden.

As the youngest naval genius commander of the Iyanden Craftworld, Princess Yriel even looked down on her own Eldar compatriots with her nose in the air.

Not to mention these humans, whom she had always looked down upon.

"Damn you, xenos!"

Eidolon struggled to get up again.

Her power armor was already heavily damaged, especially her right arm, which held the sword. Blood was constantly pouring out from some small cracks.

Those were the wounds left by the other's shuriken weapons.

"Be quiet, or the next one will be aimed at your ugly heart," Yriel threatened impatiently.

Actually, she hadn't wanted to come on this trip at all.

It was all the fault of those old Farseers who did nothing all day but scold the young Eldar for "the decline of morals and the loss of the ancient Eldar spirit."

She didn't know what had gotten into them, but they had suddenly announced that they had received a distress call from the great god Asuryan, and had sensed that he was being corrupted by Slaanesh.

And in the prophecy, if they did not rescue him...

...their Phoenix God Asuryan would become a slave to the Thirsting Lady!

Are you kidding me!

Asuryan being corrupted by Slaanesh?

Are you all sober?

How many years has it been since the Great Fall? Have these old Farseers all gone senile?

But in the end, she could not win against those venerable old bones. As the most outstanding naval genius among the young generation of Eldar, Autarch Yriel had accepted this incredibly ridiculous mission.

Come on!

Asuryan has already been gnawed to pieces by the Thirsting Lady (Slaanesh). Where is she supposed to "rescue" him from?

Even if she could, this is a job for the Phoenix Lords!

Us, rescuing Asuryan from the hands of the Thirsting Lady? Seriously?

Is this something we can do?

Don't torture the young Eldar like this...

Helplessly, Yriel had no choice but to first take her ship to the location where Asuryan had sent the distress call in the prophecy.

And not long after they had passed through the Webway, they had seen a group of Mon-keigh ships being attacked by Orks.

Just in time. They would help them deal with the Orks here, and also ask what was going on.

Fight the Orks, gogogo!

And so, Yriel had led a few dozen elite Aspect Warriors and boarded the upper deck of the Pride of the Emperor.

And had gotten into a fight with the Emperor's Children there.

Although it was not clear why this group of Eldar, if they wanted to help clear out the Orks, would choose to board the upper deck where the humans were gathered.

But you know, the thinking of the Craftworld Eldar is always so difficult to fathom.

If they were a little more normal, they wouldn't be the Eldar.

They wanted to help the humans, but they couldn't be too enthusiastic about it.

Otherwise, those Mon-keigh might really think that their Eldar race was some kind of selfless ally.

Therefore, Yriel had chosen to first defeat this group of humans, and then help them clear out the Ork threat on the ship.

In this way, they could show the powerful strength and noble status of the ancient race of the universe, the Eldar, who held the power of life and death.

Hmph, I was just passing by to ask about the situation. I'm not here to help you!

Don't get the wrong idea!

"Heh, nicely put. Just a bunch of bandits taking advantage of the situation..."

"If Lady Fulgrim were still here, she would surely send all you damn xenos to hell!"

Eidolon still looked at the other party resentfully.

Fulgrim was on the Ork warship, beheading their leader.

Vespasian was currently at the deck's junction, leading the remaining Emperor's Children to intercept the Ork Warboss.

Abdemon was seriously injured and was recovering on Byzas.

If any one of them could come to the ship, they would surely be able to smack the arrogant face of this xenos.

If Second Company Captain Arcur Tona were here, that would also work...

...even Kasjia!

In the hearts of the Emperor's Children, Kasjia seemed to have already reached the status of Leman Russ.

"Mon-keigh, can't you understand my words?"

Yriel said coldly, seeing the other still struggling.

"I said, we're here to help you, right?"

"Behave, and listen."

"We won't do anything to you."

Hearing Yriel's statement, Eidolon only felt it was ridiculous.

Who comes to help and the first thing they do is beat people up?

But this still did not stop Yriel from getting closer and closer to the ship's control system.

"Xenos! Get off our ship!"

At this final, critical moment, Lord Commander Rylanor charged forward.

"Rylanor!"

He was indeed a highly respected and learned role model in the legion.

But in terms of combat strength, the other party could defeat Eidolon with her light footwork, which was enough to show that Rylanor was no match for this genius Eldar girl.

"Tsk, another Mon-keigh seeking his own death."

"Is there nothing but violence in your muscle-brains?"

Yriel disdainfully dodged his attacks left and right. Even with the powerful physique of a Space Marine, in the face of a combat genius Eldar like her, he still could not gain much of an advantage.

"Mon-keigh, I'm getting a little angry."

Yriel's tone was displeased.

This bunch of Mon-keigh had no ability, and they wouldn't listen.

Then don't blame her for killing a chicken to scare the monkeys.

The blade in her hand instantly stabbed towards the other's heart.

"Stop!!!"

A sharp cry of halt came from her right.

And for some reason, at this cry of halt, Yriel unconsciously stopped the blade in her hand, not moving forward an inch.

CLANG!

Another Space Marine who had suddenly broken in blocked her blade.

It was Kasjia. He was currently holding the power sword Fireblade, personally forged by Fulgrim (not to brag), and had blocked the sharp blade of the Eldar.

"Rylanor, are you alright?"

Kasjia reached out his hand and helped him up.

"I'm fine. But if I had really taken that hit, I probably would have ended up in a Dreadnought."

"Alright, you guys go down and rest first. I'll handle this here."

Kasjia turned his head and looked at the still-arrogant sprouts.

"Eldar, you have come to my warship. What do you want?"

"Nothing. The crude creations of the Mon-keigh are not worthy of our Eldar's coveting."

"Then why did you invade our warship?"

"We came to help you fight the Orks, and you use the word 'invade'. How rude."

"...Since it's to fight the Orks, why are you fighting our people here?"

Kasjia was trying his best to hold back his anger.

"Of course, it's because of you backstabbing Mon-keigh."

"If we were to deal with the Orks first, what if you took the opportunity to launch a pincer attack on us?"

(Actually, the Imperium has really done this.)

(More than once.)

"So to be on the safe side, it's very reasonable to first beat down you bunch of battle-crazed Mon-keigh, and then go and deal with those battle-crazed Orks, isn't it?"

Kasjia: "...Sigh."

So communicating with the Eldar is very frustrating.

(Actually, both sides are about the same.)

More talk is useless. Let's just do it.

Kasjia activated the disruption field of the power sword in his hand, held the sword horizontally, and rushed towards the other party.

Against the clumsy Orks and Space Marines, the shield-thrust might be very useful.

But against the agile and nimble Eldar, doing so would only be asking for a beating.

A chop.

But the azure disruption field only cut a circular arc in the air.

Yriel's figure was slender, and her movements were flexible and agile.

She easily dodged this blow.

Missing the first blow, Kasjia rotated the power sword with his wrist to return it to position, and continued to charge forward and chop.

Yriel chose to dodge sideways this time, and at the same time, closed in on Kasjia, her blade slashing at his waist.

And facing the Eldar's sharp blade, he released his right hand from the sword and dodged backward, and at the same time, used his left hand to slash the sword that had just fallen downward, diagonally upward.

The movement was also fluid and natural.

With both of them being close combat experts, the fight between them was a feast for the eyes of the onlookers.

And behind Yriel, many Aspect Warriors with huge masks were eager to try. If it weren't for Yriel's order to wait, they would have surely come forward to tear this stupid Mon-keigh to pieces together.

"Human, stop for a moment."

After fighting for several dozen rounds without a clear winner, Yriel chose to jump out of the combat zone and stood with her Aspect Warriors.

"You're not right."

Yriel's expression was strange, as if she was thinking about something strange.

"Hm?"

To be called a human by an Eldar for the first time, instead of "Mon-keigh," was indeed a novel experience for Kasjia.

"The feeling you give me is not right."

"Why can't I use my full strength against you?"

Her expression was not good.

Whenever Yriel wanted to launch an attack, there was always a feeling from the bottom of her heart that made the force of her attack on the other party drastically reduce.

A kind of peace that would only appear in a temple.

It seemed that deep down, her premonition was telling her not to be an enemy of this large human in purple-and-gold armor.

She couldn't quite understand why.

"...You're asking me?"

Kasjia's tone carried a hint of mockery.

No, seriously, sister?!

You suddenly rush in and beat down all my Emperor's Children, and then you suddenly say you don't want to be my enemy?

Kasjia was beginning to understand why the Ordo Xenos was so extreme.

Question, understand, become.

"I don't know what you're thinking at all, but now I'm only giving you two options."

"Fight with us to drive out the Orks, and I can let bygones be bygones."

"Leave this place immediately, or you will face our endless wrath!"

"Who allowed you, this Mon-human, to order me around?"

Yriel gritted her teeth, and seemed to have no intention of backing down.

"Then what are you going to do?" Kasjia asked.

"Fight with you against the Orks," Yriel replied.

Using the fiercest tone to say the most cowardly words.

Although Yriel's mouth was still very stubborn, her heart was already so calm that she could hardly launch any more attacks on Kasjia.

"Fine. But I will be watching you at all times."

"If you go back on your word again, I will have no more tolerance for you."

"Hmph... who needs your tolerance..."

"What are you still looking at? Go, follow him."

Yriel commanded her Aspect Warriors, and followed Kasjia's pace.
