Tap, tap.
Kasjia walked out from the Warp gate behind him.
He didn't look too good.
The exquisite clothes he was wearing had large areas of corrosion and tatters. He didn't even have a weapon in his hand, let alone power armor.
He was fighting entirely with his burning right arm.
"Kasjia, why are you here? The Primarch has been looking for you!" Telmar shouted.
"I know. I'll be back after I've dealt with this monster."
The cracked right hand in his hand ignited again.
"Come on, you little hot stuff, have a taste of my big fire!!!"
"BURN!"
Kasjia shouted, and with the golden-red flames erupting from his right hand, the entire room was swept up in a fiery red, like a setting sun.
And what about the dancer?
In the golden-red fire, she finally revealed her true form.
An ugly monster with bull horns, crab claws, multiple hands, and even different organs on the left and right sides of her body appeared before him in the firelight.
"XENOS!!!"
Telmar shouted, and fired his boltgun at her.
But as a flash of light passed over her body, the bullets seemed to merge into her body, causing no actual damage.
"AH!!!"
She let out a shrill roar, and then burst out with a strong purple flash in the next moment.
With this momentary burst of force, she broke free from the restraint of Kasjia's right hand and, dragging her flame-scarred body, she pulled away again.
Howling, she rushed towards Kasjia.
Pretty fire-resistant.
"Damn you, you little bastard!"
Kasjia raised his burning right arm and fought with the other party.
"Telmar, you guys deal with the rest of the stuff here first. I'll come and help you after I've burned him to death!!"
"...Alright!"
Telmar finally sobered up a little.
There were no more guests and maids in this room.
Before his eyes, there was only a group of pathetic pieces of meat, writhing on the filthy ground.
From their appearance, he could barely tell that they had once been human.
But it seemed that under the intense and decadent stimulation, they were now a long way from being human.
And in the room, the original artistic murals had all disappeared.
On the ugly walls, coagulated with filthy blood, there were only some broken tissues from the human body, crudely pieced together in this filthy room.
To be honest, even for Telmar, who was used to seeing the殘肢 of the battlefield, a feeling of genuine disgust and nausea still filled his throat when he saw everything before him.
Disgusting.
Disgusting, so disgusting!
And those promiscuous, beautiful maids, after being burned by Kasjia's fire, were now just ugly, deformed monsters with long horns.
They were waving the crab claws in their hands and rushing towards him.
All that was real had returned to their vision.
"Damn it, what kind of monsters are these?"
He frowned in concentration and raised the boltgun in his hand at the monsters.
Several bullet trails streaked through the air, shooting towards the monsters coming from all directions in the room.
But the monsters seemed to be very fast and agile. With a few dodges, they quickly came to Telmar's side.
Just in time!
Compared to long-range shooting, Telmar naturally preferred close combat.
Almost all the Emperor's Children liked to do this.
Until they were sanctioned by a certain First Lord Commander who had no martial virtue and used a retractable shield-spear.
He quickly dropped his boltgun, turned and used the momentum to draw the Xana-pattern saber at his waist, and cut the monster that had failed to dodge in half.
But strangely, the monster did not spurt out much blood or internal organs.
Just a few moments later, the monster's corpse disappeared on the spot.
As one of the six blades chosen by Fulgrim to join the Byzas campaign, Telmar's combat ability was naturally not to be underestimated.
He wielded his saber with both hands and quickly cut the monsters who dared to come forward into pieces.
Those ugly daemonettes seemed to be still spitting out some kind of pink mist, trying to re-infect his mind.
But after the room had been burned by Kasjia's fire, this little trick could no longer shake Telmar's heart in the slightest.
"Damn you, you dare to deceive me!!!"
With a heart full of anger at being deceived, he rushed forward to meet the terrified gazes and shrieks of the others, and cut them all into pieces.
Damn you, xenos!!!
An indescribable sense of shame and indignation filled the heart of this Son of the Emperor.
All of you, die!
Die!
The battle ended quickly.
After being burned by Kasjia's fire, all the evil Warp influence in the room had been burned away.
All that was left was a group of listless Slaaneshi daemons, who were no match for Telmar, this brave warrior who was now burning with anger.
"Kasjia, I'll help you!"
Telmar drew the Xana-pattern saber in his hand and chopped down on the "xenos" who was engaged in close combat.
That's right, xenos.
In his mind, this guy was just a somewhat strange xenos.
"DIE!"
Telmar howled.
There must be no monster in the world that can remember their dark history!
The glory of the Third Legion must be defended!
SMACK!
Not only that, in the next instant, the monster was hit in the head by a bolt from the side.
It was the long-silent Thorn.
He had finally been able to shake off the strange influence of the monsters and rejoin the battle.
"Good!"
Kasjia took advantage of the fact that the other was slowed down by the two of them and landed another fiery punch on the daemonette's androgynous chest, burning a large area of scars.
"Ah—"
Seeing that the situation was lost, the daemonette suddenly let out a piercing shriek that went straight into the minds of the three present.
Even Kasjia, who could dispel sorcery, was dizzy and unsteady on his feet in the face of this pure noise attack.
Seeing that it had worked, the daemonette leaped up and returned to the Warp gate beside it.
"Damn it!"
"Telmar, you guys go back and report to Fulgrim that I'm fine. I'm going after him!"
"...Alright!"
Kasjia nodded to the two legionaries and followed the daemon into the gate in the final moments before it closed.
Everything returned to normal.
Although he found it hard to believe what had just happened, Telmar still stood up unsteadily in the aftermath of the shriek in his brain.
"How are you?"
Telmar asked Thorn beside him.
"Not good. My head is very dizzy, and my thoughts are in a mess."
"I can't remember what happened after I entered this door at all."
"Me too. What are these monsters?"
"I don't know. By the way, where's Kasjia now?"
"Who knows."
As he spoke, Telmar looked towards the center of the room.
There, there were six extremely twisted corpses.
They, along with the ritual circle drawn on the ground with blood and some kind of human bodily fluid, formed a blasphemous symbol of an altar.
Just now, they had used this to open the Warp gate, and with it, they had summoned...
...a daemon.
Telmar thought of the creatures and summoning methods that only existed in legends.
And unfortunately, it seemed that what he saw before him was no different.
It seemed that it was just used to summon that "dancer" and the closely following Kasjia.
"Damn it. Thorn, did you bring a flamer?"
"Only a bolt pistol."
"That's fine too. Record these things, and then burn them all."
"Alright."
Telmar recalled Kasjia's actions from before.
Of course, he would rather burn away the lingering disgust in his heart.
He turned his head and looked at the relief door he had pushed open before.
After losing the sorcery cast by the monsters, the once-beautiful and promiscuous dancer had instantly turned into an ugly, multi-armed monster.
It was bad enough that she was ugly, but the most crucial thing was that she actually had two different sets of physiological organs.
Gah!
So, so ugly!
Telmar tried his best not to think about what he had just experienced.
As if he had entered a post-nut clarity, Telmar recalled the ugly and androgynous strange creatures he had just seen, and a wave of nausea welled up in his heart.
To think that he had just been so obsessed with this bunch of androgynous monsters...
...urgh, bleeegh—
An indescribable sense of regret instantly filled Telmar's heart.
"...I'm so pathetic."
Telmar said with full of regret.
