I know this was probably not a good idea but I decided to head straight to the source.
The hakuta estate.
As I approached the door it swung open. I quickly hid behind a nearby tree. To my surprise naoto was roughly thrown to the ground by an older man.
"You're a disgrace boy" he spat "shaming our great clan with your childish outburst. Don't bother coming back unless it's with a grovelling apologie" he slammed the door.
"Arrogant bastard!" He yelled at the door, his face visibly bruised. I watched as he stormed off before following him.
It's probably not wise to follow a future knight when he's this upset but I couldn't help it. I couldn't leave him like this. Now how to approach him. After all it'd be downright stupid to just walk up and-
"Greetings friend" my jaw dropped as a raven haired boy approached him with a smile. He had a red neckerchief around his neck and a carefree smile. This guy is either brave or downright crazy!
Naoto shot him a glare "get lost"
"You are naoto hakuta are you not?" He pointed at him with a excited twinkle in his eyes "I am Leonardo and I would like to test my skills on you"
His name was familler to me. Then I recognised it. He was a future knight too, one that was Selene's closest confidant. But he-
"You don't have any magical abilities. Fighting you would be a waste of time" he turned around with a scoff. As he walked away a scratch appeared on his cheek. He touched it with a confused expression before turning around. Leo had his leg up in the air. I couldn't believe it. I didn't even see his kick!
"You would be wise to use those eyes your clan are so famous for" he disappeared for a second before naoto was sent flying "I had to train extra hard to be strong. For you see I have a dream of becoming a knight. It's true I have no magical abilities but I ask that you do not mistake that for weakness"
Naoto stood up. I expected anger but he seemed excited. His silver eyes were now diamond patterned. I knew what this power was from the book series.
The hakuta clan were famous for their eyes, which had the ability to see into the future. His movements were faster now. He could quite literally predict his movements and act accordingly.
"Your eyes are truly something to behold my friend" another one of Leo's punches were blocked "I'm honered that you'd use them on me"
"Well your speed is something to behold" his face was spread into a wide grin "plus I've been meaning to burn off some pent up anger. Sorry if I get too rough!" He landed a punch to the face. Leo quickly recovered with a grin.
"Is that so? In that case allow me to give you a real challenge!" he leaped in the air, spinning his body into a wild tornado. Oh no. I know that attack. It's a killing move!
"Stop!"
