Chapter 3 - 3 His rules.

Heily walked down the aisle with her father, the glittering stones on her white gown seemed to shimmer in the light, drawing every eye in the room to her. She felt like a vision, her beauty captivating the attention of all who gazed upon her. But one pair of eyes held her gaze, Xavier's piercing blue eyes, which seemed to bore into her very soul.

For a moment, their eyes locked, and Heily wondered what expression he wore was he stunned by her beauty, or was he displeased? She knew she was beautiful; many people had told her so before. But she couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness, knowing she was about bind her life to this arrogant man.

The priest's voice broke the silence, his words echoing through the room. "Heily Willams, do you take Xavier Rodriguez as your lawful wedded husband, for better or worse,in good and bad through sickness and health?"

Heily's gaze drifted to Xavier's face, but his expression remained impassive, revealing nothing of his thoughts or feelings. She wondered what kind of man he was, really.

"I do ", she replied, her voice steady.

The priest turned to Xavier, his eyes expectant. "Xavier Rodriguez, do you take Heily Willams as your lawful wedded wife, for better or worse, in good and bad, through sickness and health?"

For a moment, Xavier hesitated, his eyes flicking to Heily's face before he replied, "I do."

The priest's voice rang out, filled with authority. "In the power vested in me, I now pronounce you two man and wife. You may now kiss your bride."

Heily's heart skipped a beat as she realized she was about to share a kiss with this man in front of everyone. They exchanged rings, their hands touching briefly before Xavier took the lead.he bent his head,"As he drew nearer, the scent of his cologne wafted toward her, a potent blend of citrus and spice that filled the air. The fresh aroma was unmistakable, a testament to his impeccable taste in fragrance. The scent lingered, a subtle yet powerful presence that commanded attention, his lips brushed against her's in a brief, gentle kiss. but instead of kissing her lips,he gave her a peck on the check, his warm breath sending shivers down her spine.

As he pulled back,he whispered in her ear, his voice low and husky. "Stop falling for me. I'm not interested in you."

Heily gazed at Xavier, and thought to herself ,"who does he think he is? Does he really believe every girl would swoon over him?" Her expression reflected her disdain.

The wedding ceremony concluded, and Xavier escorted Heily to their new home. The drive was silent, with neither of them exchanging a word or glance. Upon arrival, Heily's eyes widened as she took in the grandeur of the mansion. The beautiful garden the sprawling structure seemed almost otherworldly. "This is where I'll be living?" She thought, her mind racing with the opulence that surrounded her.

As they entered, Heily's gaze darted around the lavish interior, marvelling at the designs, texture, and golden accents "where are you going?" Xavier's voice cut through her reverie.

"I'm going to the room," Heily replied, turning to face him.

Xavier's scowl deepened. "Did you think I'd share a room and bed with you? " he sneered, his eyes flashing with disdain.

Heily's confusion turned to indignation.

"What do you mean? This is my home too."

Xavier's voice was cold and calculated.

"Let me make one thing clear: there are rules in this house. Firstly, don't even think about coming to the first floor. That's my domain. Secondly, don't bother cooking for me. I won't eat your food. You'd do well to remember your place in this house. You're just nothing but a slut, a means to an end a way to pay off your family's Dept."

Heily's anger flared as he called her a slut."Did you really think I dreamed of marrying you?" She spat, her voice venomous. "If you were the last person on earth, I'd rather stay single forever. I was forced into this marriage, and don't you dare compare me to the women you associate with. I'm nothing like them."

Xavier's gaze locked onto her's, his eyes glinting with challenge. "Good," he said finally, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "your room is at the second floor." With that, he turned and walked away leaving Heily seething with anger and resentment.

Heily retreated to her room, where she was greeted by the elegant decor. Feeling exhausted from a long day, she collapsed onto the bed too lazy to bathe.
