Chapter 45 - The Starting Point of Workers

Adventurer's Guild.

The Guildmaster Einzack looked at Ilay, who was taking his leave, clearly reluctant to see him go. "Mr. Ilay, why don't you stay in E-Rantel for a while? Although it's not very rich, it's the largest fortified city in the vicinity."

A magic caster who could use fifth-tier magic was revered everywhere. He was even considering making an exception and registering him as an adventurer.

Sigris coldly refused, "No need. My companion found information about the Demon Dragon in the Empire, so there's no need to stay."

Such a detached and ruthless demeanor was consistent with the character of a master, and besides, he truly had the ability, so Einzack understood.

It was said that Fluder of the Empire had indeed reached the peak of human magic casters, the sixth tier, but casting such spells put immense strain on his body, and it was normal for him to be bedridden for several days.

In contrast, Ilay, who claimed to have barely reached the fifth tier, showed no signs of weakness immediately after using magic and could still meet visitors normally the next day.

He had reason to suspect that the other party's skill level was even higher; even if he hadn't reached the sixth tier, he was very close, practically a top-tier fifth-tier caster.

To reach such a level at the age of forty or fifty was truly astonishing. Fei Fei's power was also unbelievable, making people curious about how strong a team that possessed both Fei Fei and Ilay truly was.

"Perhaps Mr. Ilay could tour with me before you leave. There are some interesting small shops you certainly haven't been to."

Sigris was a bit puzzled, "What kind of shops?"

He was quite familiar with E-Rantel; he had visited all the food shops last time. Could there be something he missed?

Einzack showed a very close attitude, "Haha, it's just women, high-class brothels that I've carefully selected."

Sigris understood his desire to leave behind offspring of a strong individual, but he wasn't an animal who thought with his lower body and truly couldn't enjoy such treatment. Such a privilege should be left to Ainz.

"I have important matters to attend to, so I won't bother you. Thank you for the Guild's care these past few days."

Sigris pondered for a moment before slowly saying, "There's one more thing. I once encountered a warrior wearing silver armor nearby. His strength was very great, possibly not inferior to Fei Fei's, which is a bit unsettling."

Einzack also frowned deeply. He didn't think the other party would lie to him about such a matter, but he wouldn't fully believe it either. He still needed to send adventurers to investigate before confirming.

If true, this would be a very important piece of information.

"Did the other party tell you his name? Perhaps we can find some clues from that."

Sigris said, "At that time, he was fighting someone, and I didn't get close to observe. I only used the magic of Clairvoyance from a distance. I heard him call himself Sigris Helausvaerger, but the people nearby called him Silver Knight."

Einzack felt the sharp gaze from beneath the mask and couldn't help but break out in a cold sweat. "If that's truly the case, then it's a major event. Thank you for informing me."

"It was nothing."

As they parted ways, two women stood on either side of Ilay. Einzack finally saw the companions he had spoken of.

One had black hair and black eyes, with cold light flickering in her obsidian eyes. Her ink-black hair was tied into a ponytail, and her skin was as fair and delicate as pearls, giving her an exotic charm. Her ordinary adventurer's attire didn't look ordinary on her, and she carried only a sword as a weapon.

The other had long, fiery red hair and rare dark brown skin. She wore a friendly smile, but on her back was a holy staff shaped like a giant axe. Her attire was more daring, a light and agile outfit, with golden ornaments at her waist.

"They are Nabe and Reqi," Sigris turned and introduced. "This is Guildmaster Einzack."

Einzack was still in a daze. He finally understood why his suggestion had been rejected. Besides the Golden Princess's beauty, the Kingdom couldn't find anyone comparable to these two, not even the "Saintess" who accompanied Fei Fei.

Similarly greeting him, Nabe merely nodded coldly, "Nabe, a third-tier magic caster of the arcane system."

Lupusregina, however, smiled and shook his hand, "I'm Reqi, Nabe's younger sister, a third-tier magic caster of the faith system, and a part-time cleric! Healing magic is my specialty."

One was as cold as an iceberg, the other as warm as fire. They were sisters despite such a difference in temperament, and their magical attainments were so high. They also seemed quite reliable.

"How enviable," Einzack sighed.

Ainz, who had no emotional changes or, to put it bluntly, no sexual desire, was not really interested in these things.

After all, that thing was gone, and he had once wondered what it would be like if he had a body like Sigris, making many assumptions, but it seemed without exception that he would be immersed in carnal desires.

Being a virgin, he might do unimaginable things and ultimately end up abandoned by everyone.

Of course, such a result was impossible; the loyalty of Nazarick's NPCs was full, and they would never betray him no matter what... Suddenly, he felt even more evil, what was going on!

"However, Sig-san is really good to me. I can't be lazy anymore," Ainz murmured, deeply moved.

The Imperial Capital, Owental, a vast city where the Blood Emperor's palace was located. It seemed less bustling than the Kingdom's Capital, but the surrounding area showed a thriving scene, and passing travelers seemed to be infected by the atmosphere here.

Sigris, dressed strangely and accompanied by two beautiful women, attracted frequent glances from passersby. Of course, more eyes were on Nabe and Reqi.

Reqi was the alias Lupusregina had chosen.

After investigation, it was found that the consensus among workers was not to ask about each other's past and not to expose excessive desires, so using their real names might cause suspicion.

Nabe was somewhat disgusted by those gazes, especially after hearing someone speak ill of Sigris; the anger in her eyes was almost uncontrollable.

"Damn low-level creatures (cockroaches), daring to belittle Lord Sigris!"

"Calm down, Nabe, there's no need to mind those guys. Also, outside, you must call me Mr. Ilay."

"Yes, Lord Ila... Mr. Ilay," Nabe replied reluctantly.

Sigris was also very helpless about this. Nabe was called an inflexible battle maid, which was entirely written in her settings and could not be changed at all.

"You can call me Lord Ilay in the future too, but never call me by my real name."

Nabe, who had misspoken, blushed slightly. Being pointed out like this was still a bit embarrassing. She hoped Lord Sigris wasn't angry.

Reqi asked with a smile, "Mr. Ilay, what should we do next? What's good to play?"

"This is for serious business, don't think about playing. Let's go to the inn we inquired about beforehand."

Although workers were freer than adventurers, they also had no one to help them receive clients and distribute tasks. Because they did dirty work, clients had high demands for meeting places, which could not be too grand nor fail to guarantee safety. Therefore, finding a suitable inn as a base was very important.

Although Sigris didn't want to become a true worker, obviously just fooling people wouldn't do.

Reqi stuck out her tongue, "I know, I was wrong."
