Chapter 41: The Message
Mira took a deep breath, her mind racing with the plan Don Matteo had laid out. She knew the risks, but she was determined to see it through. She made her way to the designated meeting point, a small café on the outskirts of town. As she sat down at a table, she pulled out her phone and sent a text message to Alexandra number: "I'm ready to talk to you and venom."
A response came almost immediately: "Call me."
Mira's heart skipped a beat as she dialed the number. The phone rang once before a sultry, female voice answered. "Mira. I've been expecting your call."
Mira's voice was steady. "I want to meet with you, Venom. I'm tired of running. I want to surrender and finalize the plan to take down Leo."
Venom's laughter was like honey and ice. "Ah, Mira. You're finally seeing things my way. I'll send a car for you. But don't think for a second that you're getting out of this alive."
Mira's grip on the phone tightened. "I'm not looking for a way out, Venom. I'm looking for a way to end this. And I'm willing to do whatever it takes."
Venom's tone turned calculating. "Very well, Mira. The car will be there in 30 minutes. Be ready."
Mira hung up the phone, her heart racing with anticipation. She knew she was walking into a trap, but she was ready. She was ready to play her part in Don Matteo's plan, and she was ready to face whatever lay ahead.
